Shane's POV

I wake up in a small white room on a bed. I don't even see a door. I get up and walk around.

Shane: Hello?

Silence. I can only hear my own voice.

Shane: Someone! Get me out!

I hate the Capital. I'm stuck here all alone.

Pr. Tube: Hello Shane.

Shane: Let me out!

I see the wall open and he appears. He's holding something in his hand. The door closes behind him.

Pr. Tube: Care to tell me who these people are?

He shows me a picture of a woman and two boys. They looked like a family. A richer family.

Shane: A family? What does this have to do with me leaving?!

He turns around and walks out. I run after him but the door shuts and my face hits the wall. I fall down on my butt and hold my now bleeding nose.

Why do I feel like I knew those people?

Maybe I did?

But how could I forget someone I knew? Maybe they were neighbors or something back home.

I shouldn't worry.

President Tube's POV

Dr: His memory is slowly starting to retract.

Tube: Perfect. How long before its completely gone?

Dr: Two weeks.

Tube: Good. Then you must create artificial memories for him so we can convince him to fight against those traitors!

Dr: Yes sir.

Lisa's POV

Chad: Lisa! Get to the meeting room ASAP!

I hear Chad shouting into my earpiece. I wince.

It's the middle of the night. I'm exhausted. This better be important.

I get up and run to the conference room. I walk in and people are running around frantically.

Lisa: What is going on here people?!

Chad: We believe we found the laboratory where they're holding the missing Tributes.

Lisa: Are you serious?

Chad: Completely.

Lisa: So we have to come up with a plan. Everyone sit!

Everyone collects their things and sits at the big table. I join them and sit next to Chad.

Lisa: I think our first action should be to send a spy in. They figure out what's going on and where the Tributes are. Then we can send someone in to get them out.

Chad: I agree but what about Joey?

Lisa: He can't know. I know I promised but this will kill him. No one say a word. Chad assemble a team to take on the first step.

Chad: Got it.

Lisa: I'll be back soon.

I get up and walk out. I'm not sure if I should lie or just tell the truth. Either way, Joey is losing it.
