Chapter 27

Beth's POV

I felt uncomfortable eating my chicken burger in McDonald's cause I kept on getting stared at because I was wearing old clothes, ugh judgy people these days

"Don't worry they're probably staring at my hair it looks like a birds nest" Ashton squeezed my hand and smiled at me giving me confidence

When we got back Ashton texted furiously up to the front door

"Are you ok?" I asked but he didn't answer just texted faster, I was scared he was gonna break his phone

Finally Ashton put down his phone and smiled "yea I'm fine lets go in" I saw a hint of mystery in his eyes

I opened the door and suddenly all I heard was party poppers, loud music and "SURPRISE"

"Aaaaaahhhhhhhh" I screamed falling backwards into Ashton

"It's alright I got you" he said then pushed me into the crowd of all my friends

Suddenly I heard "group hug" and my bones were being crushed

By the time I got free I felt another bone crushing hug from my mum

"Oh honey I missed you so much!" she shouted hugging me and kissing my cheeks "the house has been so lonely without you" she kissed me again

"MUUUUUM stop it" I whined feeling quite embarrassed

"Oh sorry you're a grown girl now" she said giving me a harsh pat on the back and walking off

"Mums aye" I heard Imogen say walking up to me

"Haha yea" it was still awkward between me and Imogen but I knew we would become friends again cause that's what best friends do, plus she's like my only girl friend and I'm getting sick of Ashton's guy talking

"Ooookkkkaaaaayyyyyy we've got karaoke here so everybody gather round" I heard mum shout

"Lets go" I said linking my arm with Imogen's

After finding out most of my friends couldn't sing, suddenly I was pushed up and started singing along to Ordinary People (A/N I didn't know which song to pick so I picked this one since it was stuck in my head today Aaaand Ashton covered it)

By about 12 people drifted out, mainly because mum got a broom out....

And she said I had 'to rest' and today had been a 'big day'

It actually hadn't been a 'big day' because all days are the same length so it was just a full day not big to be precise

Anyways I'm boring you with my smarts...

After complaining and explaining it wasn't a big day Ashton picked me up and took me to bed, before I knew it we were both under the covers snoring peacefully
