Chapter 10
Beth's POV
I woke up, got ready and started walking to the bus stop when I stopped in my tracks
The house next door had a sold sign on it and Ashton was talking about moving a couple of days ago, hmmm is Ashton gonna be my new neighbour...
"Hey" Ashton said walking up to me grinning
"What?" I said smiling back
"Wanna skip school and help me move tomorrow?" He asked still grinning like mad
"Sure but where are you moving?" I said raising an eyebrow
"It's a surprise" he said raising one back
When the bus sped round the corner I swear our bus drivers high or something and we all are gonna crash or die
I grumbled before I walked on the bus to Ashton "I hate surprises"
"Heard that" he said still smiling
"Ugh" I said then stomped off to the back
"What's the matter bethie pie?" Michael asked
"Don't call me that!" I said sitting beside Imogen
"Oooo someone's in a bad mood" Michael said laughing "what'd you do Ashton?"
"Oh nothing really" he said sitting next to me and putting his arm around my shoulders
"Getoff" I said trying to push his arm away but I wasn't strong enough so I gave up and started chatting to Imogen
"So can you tell me about kittens now?"
"Nope" she said doing a head flick on the direction of Calum
"Poop" I said then started playing temple run on my phone
After the bus ride I walked alone cause Ashton and Imogen apparently had to talk about something so I went to my locker to get my books for English first period
I opened up my locker and felt a tapping on my shoulder
"Huh?" I turned round to see Liam
"Hi" he said shyly
"Hi" I said back
"So I'm sorry about the whole cake thing" he said
"It's ok I just made another one that night" I lied I was actually out with Ashton
"Oh cool" he said
"I'm guessing that isn't all you came here to say" I said looking into his deep blue eyes
"He likes you!" I random guy called out giving me the thumbs up
"Really?" I asked raising an eyebrow, wow a lot of eyebrow raising today
"Uh no uh yes uh no I gotta go" he said then walked off
"Scaring the new kids Treth?" I heard Crystals voice say
"Names not Treth" I said clenching my fist
"Oh what is it? Turf, Flurth, Fluff!" She said laughing
"Nope not even close" I said gritting my teeth
"Ooo someone's getting angry time for you to take a chill pill" she said in a baby voice
"Looks like someone needs a wash you little skank" with that I closed my locker and walked off glad I hadn't hit her
"What you can't just say that to me and walk off" she said huffing
I pulled the finger at her and walked around a corner, perfect I thought
But of course not everything works out
"Whoa" I said slipping on an actual banana peel I mean come on that only happens in the movies
I was about to fall when Ashton grabbed me
"Thanks" I said still in his grip
"Alright" he winked and I got up
Briiiiiiiiinnnnnmmmmfggggggggggg
"Yah English" I said to Ashton suddenly realising people were staring at us
Can't they just ignore someone slipping over and getting heroically saved, no, ok then
We walked in and sat next to Imogen who was already there
"Hey guess what" I said putting down my books
"What?" She asked expecting gossip
"I slipped on a banana peel...." I whispered as the teacher walked in
"As you know you all have that assignment and you have all been doing so much good work on it!" She said doing way to many hand gestures
Shit we hadn't even started that yet
"Yea well we are going to have to cancel that because the school thinks that it's too up in your business and parents are worried, so scratch that and we will think up some new fun ideas"
As everyone called out ideas and the teacher wrote them down on the board Imogen elbowed me and passed me a piece of paper
'How?' Was all it said
I replied with 'idk but Ashton caught me'
She wrote 'awwwww;)'
I quickly shoved the paper in my pocket as miss walked over
"Passing notes are we?" She said glaring at me
"Nope miss" I said confidently looking at her
"Pass it here Beth!" She shouted at me
"Pass what?" I said acting dumb
"The paper" she said slowly pronouncing each syllable
"Ok" and I ripped looking at miss a page out of my book perfectly and handing it to her "there ya go" I said smiling
"GET OUT!" She screamed spit falling on my face
"For what?"
"For lying, for interrupting my lesson, and being a little excuse my language bitch"
"I think you should say sorry that was rude, mean and in appropriate" I said standing up looking her in the eye
"Beth just go" Ashton said tapping my hand
"No this teacher can't walk all over me" I said staring at miss
"Ok I'm writing you a withdrawal slip, you are getting call home, the principal...." She mumbled writing my name on a green slip
"Whatever" I said packing up my stuff and walking out then I quickened my pace running out the doors and to the nearest park sitting on the swings I cried I still don't know why I cried but with everything it felt nice to let go
