"I told you we should have walked away when we could," Miranda hissed at me.
"What did you expect Miranda?" I asked, "She was poisoning him."
"She was with him long before you entered their lives," She said, "You really expected him to pick you over her?"
"He did," I replied.
I sunk into the chair at the hotel we were in. It was a simple travel lodge so wasn't as glamorous as any hotel in Vegas but it was bearable. I had tried to split David from his wife because she was poison to him. She was a money grabbing whore who did nothing but get pregnant to have an excuse to stay with him. Miranda slowly sunk to her knees as I thought.
"You know that Alex is actually the one with the money?" She asked.
"No she's not," I laughed.
"She is," Miranda replied, "She gave me a signed copy of her book. She's Lexi Dare. She own Dare's publishing."
"How do you know?" I spat harsher than I meant.
"She offered me a job," Miranda replied, "She wanted you and David to bond so she offered me a job to stay in the uk."
"What did you say?" I asked.
"I didn't," Miranda replied, "I told her I needed time to think it over."
"Why are you telling me this?" I asked.
"I think we both know that you are actually jealous of what David has with Alex and the relationship he has with his kids," Miranda said, "You always wanted your dad to come back and when you found him he had another family and didn't know about you. That can hurt, I know it does but you can't take it out on Alex because at the end of the day she didn't know."
"What does she have that my mother didn't?" I asked.
"David was older by them and wanted a real relationship," Miranda explained, "Your mum was a fling."
"She wasn't a prostitute!" I yelled getting up and going to the window.
"Baby I know," Miranda sighed as she followed me, "I'm not saying that. I just saying at the time neither of them we looking for something serious."
"I just wanted to help him," I whispered.
Miranda placed her hand on my shoulder and kissed my jaw. I wanted to get to know my father and I was hoping he would lend us some money so I could help my family. I worked day in and day out and yet we barely had enough money to scrape by. I wasn't a gold digger and I wasn't going to get to know my dad just to steal from him. It seemed stupid now but I was being driven into the ground.
"I love you baby!" Miranda whispered into my ear.
"I love you too!" I replied.
"Then let's go home," Miranda said.
I smiled, "Our plane is book for five days. Why don't we use the last couple of days as a holiday? We never have holiday's."
"Ok but I have one rule," Miranda said.
"What?" I asked.
"We go no where near David or Alex or their kids," she said firmly.
I sighed, "OK. I promise."
She smiled, "Good!"
"DADDY DADDY DADDY."
Destiny ran towards me with her arms out stretched. I smile split across my face as I picked her up and spun her round in my arms. Her giggles filled my heart with warmth. She was the sweetest, happiest child I could have ever hoped for.
"What's up babycakes?" I said tiggling her stomach.
"Nwthing," she laughed.
"How would my princess like to stay here for a little bit longer?" I asked.
"Yes!" She said.
"Yeah!" I asked.
Destiny nodded eagerly which made me smile harder. Destiny was my little angel whom I fought tooth and nail to have. Miranda couldn't have children and it took us most of our lives and most of our savings to be able to have our precious baby.
"I love you," I said to my little girl, "I will do anything for you."
