Chapter seven: bitter truth

" can someone elaborate on the missing princess thing for me please?" I asked both of them looked at each other trying decide who should tell me.
Eli spoke first.
" well this hasn't been released anywhere but princess Elowien is not of royal blood , the king became suspicious of her so she was given a heirloom charmed necklace as a present from the king not knowing that it would light up if there was royal blood in her body when nothing happened he sent her to her room and locked her there until he can find the true princess of Kystia"
" so I'm guessing that's why you two are here looking for the true princess?" I said hesitant on speak. It's was a cold morning and it only added to the suspense of this whole ordeal.
" I'm not Rowan is" Eli said pointing to Rowan who was casually laid back on the grass looking as though he hadn't a care in the world.
" yup that's me and I found her" said Rowan getting up and looking up and down at me.
"You've got to be kidding me Rowan" I said in utter disbelief
" who?" Said Eli
" me." I said in a hallow voice
"But you only have one spirit Delia" said Eli looking very pale
" no I have two. Mavis and Begira ." I said before I could stop myself.
I felt Begira warm body lay on top of my lap
" I'm here, Delia your freezing how can you heal if your catching a cold" said Begira
" show yourself" I said to Begira as I stroked her fur.
Looking to see their reactions Rowan smiled and Eli's eyes widened, i sat there and stroked her fur as silent tears dropped onto her this can't be ,I'm not the princess i can prove it. My parents would tell them I'm not.
Getting up with Begira beside me and Mavis on my shoulder
"Let's go" I said sighing and wiping my eyes
"Where?" Both said at the same time
" my house." I said

Walking into the inn , everything looked normal but eerily quiet, I saw no guests in the inn
" you two wait here I'm going to change , I'll be down in a minute"
Walking up to my room everything looked as I had left it but I felt as though I was looking into a different world. I opened the armoire and grabbed my satin blue long sleeved dress. Giving a large sigh I walked back down to the lobby , I knew something was wrong Rowan and Eli were gone from the main room.I ran for the kitchen but some one grabbed my hair and threw me back with incredible strength
"So what's your name blondie ?" Sneered my attacker
" why would I tell a mutt like you  my name" I sneered. one thing to my advantage was that of his spirit died so did he and his fox was so tiny Begira could finish him with one slap of her paw. My attackers looked at me in surprise
" listen blondie if you come with me I'll treat you a good time, if you don't it'll be a worse time for you"
"Well good thing I don't have to choose"I said smiling
with that sentence Begira appeared behind the little fox and with one whack of her giant paw to the fox I knew it was dead because the sheer horror on my attackers face said it all he and his spirit fell to the ground and turned to tar like substance and seeped through the floor.
"Delia!" Yelled my father as he came and hugged me my mother entered the room also and joined the hugging
" I thought we lost you"said my mother with tears in her eyes
It was comforting to be in my parents arms but the bitter truth stared clawing up my throat
"Am I adopted?" I tried to get out in between gasping sobs
" no your our daughter and we love you" said my father
"Surprise" she said in a sickly cheerful voice.
