The days went by ever so slowly, Rowan never left my side even though sometimes I wished he would such as went they are tending my wound I could see the guilt he carries from it even though I made the choice.
Eli visited everyday always telling me of the news he found out from the maids or street vendors. As the days went by Rowan became more restless and one morning I awoke to find the chair he had been sitting in empty, at the end of my bed stood Eli smiling Down on me as the light streamed behind him making his blonde hair glimmer like gold
" Rowan just out to go buy you a new dress since he tore up the last one" chuckled Eli as he came to sit next to my bed
" he didn't need to do that himself " I said leaning on the back of the bed
" I said the same thing to him but he was so god damn stubborn that I couldn't stop him" said Eli in a annoyed voice
I went to stand up since I had been lying in bed for four days straight and wanted to go for a walk
" kat what the hell are you doing?"said Eli as he stood up to block my way
" I want to go for a walk Eli" I chimed as u got off on the other side of the bed and started walking to the door.
"No your not, your still injured and as long as your injured you must stay in bed" said Eli trying to herd me back to bed
Then the door to the infirmary open to show Rowan carrying a lavender dress in his hands, he quickly threw the dress on the other bed and ran over
"What are you doing Katerina?"Rowan asked as he picked me up and put me back in bed
" going for a walk if you two could stop trying to stop me" I growled and tried to get up again
"As long as you have a hole in your torso your staying in bed" said Rowan
"It's not a hole anymore, it's been stitched together." I said in a sort of cheerful voice and started to Climb over the end of the bed and started walking to the door that stood in my way, just as I reach for the knob a pair of strong arms Wrap around me and Carry back to the bed.. All I wanted to do was go for a god damn walk is that to much to ask? But there I was being put back to bed by Rowan of all people. The day pressed on after the fifth time of trying to leave and not being successful and Rowan threatening to tie me to the bed I gave up until both of them either left or fell asleep which didn't happen until a couple hours before dawn. as quietly as I could I crept out of bed now I faced the thousand year old floor that creaked with every step or movement that any one made, from the numerous attempts I made earlier that day the closer to the wall I got the less sound the floor would make as I got as close to the wall as possible barely any creaks interrupted the steady silence. I was just beside the door when my final steps lets out a large screeching sound, my eyes darted between the two men,
Eli was lying on the bench at the end of my bed curled up like a cat while Rowan sat in the armchair next to my bed. They both didn't move still in their deep sleep, now the heavy wood door I held my breath as I opened the door surprisingly it didn't make a sound. As I crept through the endless hallways that had deep burgundy carpets and white walls with gold trim.

Taking turn after turn I entered a large room with marble columns on each side of the room with stained glass windows in between them, as stairs rose to a final floor where from what I could tell two throne chairs stood. Walking into the center of the room the hair on the back of my neck stood in end as a strong old voice said
"Who's there"
"Delia sir"I said in a quiet voice
