Aspen Is Not Dead

As I fled from the school. Tears filled my eyes. I had killed Ben. And when word got out, Elita would never date me, a murderer, that is if she ever got her memory back. The thought of that made me want to crawl into a ball and die.
But then I remembered something.
When Aspen falsely accused me of killing Elita, she told me she owed me a favor, but just one. I knew if I hurried I could beat the authorities.
It took 7 minutes, but I got there. "Aspen!" I called. I didn't hear an answer, and Cautiously walked forward. What I saw next scared me beyond compare.
Spell books where strewn across the floor. And Aspen was gone. But I picked up a book with the title "Bring the Dead Back". I grabbed it and ran.

I got back to the school in time to see him being loaded into a ambulance. I ran to the parking lot, and jumped into Cassie's car. Cassie was in there, tears pouring down her face. "Are you going to the hospital?" I asked her. "Ben" was her response. " They aren't sure if he's still alive" she said In between the tears. "Cassie" I began. " I lost control. I'm sorry. But I found a book lying in Aspens hideout. I need you to help me with a spell." She looked at me with a face of astonishment. "WHAT!" She yelled at me. "GET OUT OF MY CAR!NOW"
My voice was filled with pain when I told her "Please Cassie! Ben will be dead, and I will be in prison.Please!" Her eyes were filled with worry and pain. I knew how much she obsessed over Ben. I couldn't bear the thought of telling her that he was gay."OK" was her simple answer.
We drove to the hospital. "We have to sneak in. They will test him before pronounce him dead". We parked the car outside the hospital, and ran toward the entrance. "Follow my Leage" I told her. We snuck past the front desk, and ran to the E.R. Response rooms. We peeked into a few rooms before finding his. No one was with him. We had about 3 minutes to perform the spell. I handed Cassie the book as she instructed me what to say.

His hands gripped the sheets and his breathing speeded up. "Callan." He said reluctantly. "You did this to me"
