Max looked at me, and after a few seconds, he asked me the same question again. I knew I had to answer, so I replied "how would I know?". But instead of shutting him up, he asked me how long we were dating for. "2 years", I told him reluctantly.
"Then you should know! ". Elita and I never attempted anything. I loved her more than life itself, and I'm sure she did too, but we couldn't make that commitment. Imagine if we did. She wouldn't know who the father of her kid was. And I wouldn't let that happen. I will never let anybody tear me away like my parents. I will never let my children grow up not knowing who they are, what they are, Aspens. I will not mix them in with the heights, who will rip what they do know from them. At this point, i was feed up with Max.
" So how did you guys break up?" He asked. " We loved each other more than anything, but she lost her memory. I stayed by her side. I tried to tell her who I was. But she didn't remember me. All she remembered was Ben, who's in the E.R. Because of me!" My voice rising. Tears where forming in my eyes. I ran from the classroom, leaving max in my tracks.
But he raced after me. He was pretty fast for a height. "Bro." He said, " Would it be ok, if I ask her out?" The sound of silence filled the hallway as I slowly backed away. "Whatever, do what you want, you bastard." And with that, I sprinted down the hallway. I ran to my room. And you won't believe who I found there.
