"Mum! Where's my phone charger?" I shout, trying to find it in my suitcase.
"Downstairs Leah, where you left it!" She shouted back. Great, how was I meant to know that?
Pushing my bag against the wall I get up, sighing. I didn't like my new bedroom the moment I walked in. Who paints their bedroom bright pink?! For someone who doesn't like pink it's a very hard concept for me to work out.
"Please tell me you'll let me paint my room?" I beg to my Mum once I find my charger.
We've just arrived to our new home and to say I don't love it would be a lie.
"Of course you can! By the way we need to introduce ourselves to our next door neighbours," I sigh, I was looking forward to eating my popcorn and having a movie marathon! I don't want to actually leave this house on a Sunday.
"But Mummy, do we have too?!" I ask, hoping she'll say no.
"Yes, come on, let's go," It doesn't take us long to get ready and leave the house, I really wasn't looking forward to this. My Mum knocks three times.
"We are basically here now, can't we go ba-" I stopped talking as the door opened. Damn my plan just back fired.
"Hello?" She asks, confused. I knew we should've waited till tomorrow.
"Hi, we've just moved in, I'm Mrs James," her eyes widened in shock.
"Emma?"
"Jade?"
They jump up and down and hug each other. I thought I was the child around here! I stand there with my arms crossed, I don't know what's going on!
"Sorry, Leah, this is my best friend Jade, she moved and we lost contact," my Mum explains. "Ooh, how's Cayden?" Ergh.
"Who on earth is Cayden?" I sigh, flapping my hands about.
"I am," I look up.
Oh my God he is hot!
I close my mouth quickly before anyone realises I'm staring at him. Wait who are those two?!
"Leah, this is Cayden! Oh I haven't seen him since he was a toddler!" She looks way too excited.
"Come in, come in!" Mrs... erm, Jade, says. Thank God, I was getting cold.
"We'll get going now Mrs Hunter," one of the boys who was standing next to Cayden spoke.
"No, no, there's really no need, I've been cooking dinner for you all, remember! Right, Leah, go with Cayden and the boys, your Mum and I need a catch up,"
Just great, I'm stuck with these three. Wohoo. So much fun.
"So, Leah," Cayden's friend started to say, rubbing his hands together.
"Truth or dare?!" Cayden's other friend suggested excitedly. I rolled my eyes.
"Fine," I say. We count and it's me. As always.
"Truth,"
"Are you single?!" Thingy 1 said, moving his eye brows up and down. How did I not know that was going to come up?!
"Yes," We continue with the game until its Cayden's turn. He looked really bored at this game.
"Dare," he says. Thingy 1 and Thingy 2 (I don't know their names and I haven't been introduced so you know, I kind off made them up), get together and discuss a plan. Without me.
"Ahem, I am here you know!" I remind them. Cayden chuckled.
"Plus I don't know your names, Thingy 1 and Thingy 2 is long to say and I've forgotten who was who," I added. Cayden started to laugh as the other two looked at me with apologetic faces.
"Ok, the one on the left is Jamie," Cayden explained and i nodded. Ah, that was Thingy 1. "And the one next to him is Alex," Aha. Got it.
"Thanks!"
"Dinner!" I heard Mrs Hunter shout.
***
"Remember when these two would play with each other?" Mrs Hunter asks. This dinner was literally just 'Remember this,' and stuff.
Wait, what?
"What?" I asked. There's no way Cayden and I used to play with each other when we were younger! I don't remember! I looked towards Cayden, who was sitting opposite me. He looks, sad?
Oh God Leah, what else have you forgotten, that theres nutella at home sitting waiting to be eaten-
"Oh yeah! They were adorable!" My Mum says, excitedly.
"What do you mean adorable?" I exclaimed, getting annoyed that everyone was ignoring me.
Great, that earned me a few stares.
"Leah, do you remember our first house we lived in?" My Mum asked and I shook my head. Nope, not ringing any bells.
"Well Jade and I would go round each other's house and we would bring you or Cayden round and you'd play in the garden or play games in the house, don't tell me you've forgotten!?"
Cayden...
Cay...
C...
"Oh my God Cay!?!"
A/N - Trust, it gets better
