Days past and luckily they hadn’t seen one another. Sunny and his Aunt had attended his uncle’s funeral where his Aunt broke down whilst giving the speech. Sunny had bumped into Bridget again but before he could talk to her she jumped onto the city bus. Everywhere he went he felt alone, Sunny never really knew the town, not without Justice. She taught him everything he knew, he was a lost boy trapped in a young man’s body trying to find the thing he was missing. He promised to stay with his Aunt for a few weeks until she was finally back on her feet and willing to even open the curtains and go shopping.
Justice on the other hand was the happiest she had ever been, it was only six weeks until she’d finally be Justice Partridge. Jack was finally back from London and was spending every second he had with Justice. Justice sadly never told Jack about Sunny so she was praying the pair wouldn’t somehow meet in a bar. So with all her might she was trying to keep Jack to herself but a power much stronger than her had different plans.
Jack had just finished a business meeting when he decided to stop off at the flower shop and buy some orchards for Justice. He whistled for a cab and jumped in not knowing the driver had been drinking heavily for the past two hours. Jack innocently sat in the back of the cab, looking down at the picture of Justice in the side of his wallet when the cab driver drunkenly decided to cross on a red light and just as they turned round the corner, in the blink of an eye a truck appeared crashing into the side of the cab, exactly where Jack was sat.
The impact was so strong, instantly Jack went into a coma without noticing the glass shattered into his face or the broken bones and nose bleed. Justice received a call later that day from the hospital and was explained what had happened. As fast as she could she raced down to the hospital and peered into the room where her fiancé laid unconscious, unaware and on life support.
His parents couldn’t fly out until the following week and the only person she could call was Sunny. Sunny noticed Justice curled up on the small plastic chair in the waiting room with a box of tissues next to her side. Without disturbing the broken hearted girl he wrapped his arms around her and waited for her to awake. Hours later Justice woke and noticed Sunny fast asleep next to her. She lifted his head off of her shoulder and stood up, remembering why she was there and what had happened.
Sunny woke up and looked over at Justice peering into the room where Jack was. She was giving him the exact look she had given Sunny once, and even though it broke his heart he took a deep breath and approached her. She gave him one look and leaned into his chest, bursting into tears. He held her tight and gently turned his head and looked in through the glass window.
There he was Jack Partridge, the man who had stolen Justices heart. Even though before Sunny had prayed the pair would break up before the wedding, now all he was hoping for is that Jack would come round and be okay.
A week had passed and finally Jack had come through, he was slowly waking up and regaining strength. Justice and Sunny had grown closer and he had even met Jacks parents. Sunny was the spirit that kept them all optimistic, his witty ways made all of them smile and laugh. Finally on the Friday Jack woke up remembering his childhood, where he grew up, his mother and father, everything accept Justice.
Justice slowly entered his room and sat down into the large chair next to his bed. Jack with his extremely good looking face smiled.
“Hello Jack, I know you don’t remember me. But I was your fiancé.” She sighed
Jack looked up at her puzzled, trying to remember something.
“I’m sure if you were ever my fiancé I’d remember such a pretty face.” He grinned
She grinned with tears rolling down her cheeks, “It was that exact charm that made me your fiancé Jack.”
Jack slowly sat up and moved the tube away attached to his chest, “I’m sorry if I’ve hurt you. I hope you find someone that even from a coma remember who you are.” He grinned
