I walked to the park in a bit of a rush, running my fingers through my hair hoping it looked okay. I was already running a little late to meet Jenna since I had to take my time while getting myself ready. Always gotta look your best right? I sped by Alan's coffee place taking a peak in on my way past seeing a much taller dude with tattoos and darker brown hair working the register. Strangely I hadn't seen him before so I guessed he was new to the town.
"Becoming a local already.." I thought to myself after realizing I knew most of the townsfolk by face or some by name. Lost in my thoughts I almost didn't realize I was right across the street from the park and about to pass it too. Looking both ways I jogged across the cracked pavement and looked around for the girl I came for. Jenna was standing with her back against the tree facing the other way and as I walked up behind her I got the idea to pull at her nerves a bit. Slowly I made my way to her and lifted my arms getting ready to grab her and surprise her, but she turned around and saw me before I could complete my prank.
"Oh hey Taylor!" She smiled widely. "Uhm what are you doing?" She quirked her eyebrows in an amused look.
"Ah um" I stuttered and cleared my throat "nothing just saw a fly going around me is all. Well anyways you ready for that movie?" I shoved my hands in my pockets quickly and silently cursed myself for having such a sucky excuse. Jenna chucked at my actions and started to walk towards the town.
"Yea come on. What are you in the mood for seeing?" I caught up with the blonde and thought about some movies that recently came out.
"How about we watch that movie Hush. I hear it's a real thriller." I smiled slyly and looked over to Jenna. She seemed a little uncomfortable when I mentioned it being a thriller.
"I'm not very keen on scary movies." She squeaked while picking at her sleeves again. I rolled my eyes and grabbed her hand to get her to stop.
"It's not that scary it's just thrilling you know? Like going on a roller coaster when you feel nervous in the beginning, but at the end your all like 'wow lets go on again that was fun!!' Plus if it's really that scary I'll be there anyways so." I shrugged and continued to hold her hand lightly for a few seconds before dropping it and shoving my own into my pocket.
"Um.. Alright fine but if I get nightmares it's all your fault and I'll have to get you back." She bumped her shoulder into me and I laughed.
"Whatever you say blondie."

After the movie me and Jenna sat outside of the theater talking for a while. She was scared of the movie and continuously looked around in panic, clinging really close to me. For reassurance I wrapped my arm around her shoulder and let her lean into me while playing with the zipper on my light jacket.
"It's getting kinda late." She mumbled and yawned afterwords.
"Looks like someone's sleepy." I chuckled and watched her sit up and rub her eyes. Jenna's hair was in two loose buns on the side of her head, one tilting down more than the other. In all honesty she looked rather cute sitting there with another large sweatshirt covering her thin body.
"What was that thought?! Snap out of it Tay." I thought to myself and shook my head a bit."Hey Taylor I think I'm gonna go home. I had fun tonight even though that movie scared me." She smiled and looked down at her hands. She suddenly looked up to me with a mock angry face and punched my shoulder. "See it was scary!! Now I have to get you back!" She raised her voice playfully. I stood up chuckling and grabbed her hand to pick her up with me.
"Aw come on the nights still young. How about we go get some ice cream? I love ice cream and you could use some right now too, it'll make you wake up!" I exclaimed and dragged her along with me. The nearest ice cream parlor wasn't too far away from the theater and it only took us a few minutes to make it there. We both obtained our ice creams then walked outside in the slightly windy night.
"Jen how'd you end up living here." I questioned her while walking along side her.
"Well I was born a few towns away from here but my mom moved here when I was little. I'm glad we moved here since it's such a nice place."
"Hm, do you work around here too?"
"My dad was actually very wealthy and I mostly don't need to, but I help out around at the library some days."
"Was?" I questioned, hoping I wasn't crossing a boundary.
"Yea he passed away when I was seven." She mumbled a bit.
"Oh gosh I'm sorry I didn't mean to bring that up." I turned to look at her hoping she wasn't too upset.
"No it's fine really, you were just asking." We fell into a small period of silence before she looked back at me with renewed energy.
"So Taylor, I've told you much about myself and this town but how about you tell me about yourself. What brought you down here?" Jenna looked over to me while eating her ice cream slowly. I cringed a bit hoping I could make up something easily.
"Just wanted a change of scenery I guess." I shrugged.
"Yea the view around here is pretty nice. Where did you live before then?"
"Around L.A. Despite what you may think L.A is not all that great so I thought it was time to just go."
"Oh. Well what about family? And did you have a job?"
"Don't know where I am and I quit for the time being." I answered a bit snappily. Jenna's questions were getting to be too much already and I really did not want to lie to her, but I was not about to reveal my fame to her. I didn't want to be treated any different or let her in that way.
"They don't know? Well you should tell them! I mean they care about you right so they should know." Jenna continued to talk.
"Listen it's not like that ok so just chill. They don't need to know and even if they care it's still not their problem." I snapped and rolled my eyes at Jenna's oblivion. She didn't register how pissed off I was getting as she ate her ice cream cone absent minded.
"Oh, well that's interesting I guess." She yawned. "You should still contact someone if they're worried."
"Oh my gosh Jenna, just shut up alright you don't get it! Why'd you have to get into my life anyways you don't need to know any of that?! Just stop!" I yelled and tossed the rest of my cone to the side while spinning on my heals and turning around completely, heading off to my apartment.
"Wait Taylor!" She called from behind my but I simply wasn't having it. Why was she so annoying?! I silently mumbled my thoughts aloud until I reached my apartment and slammed the door behind me upon entering it.
