“I’m hungry Jack. What do you wanna cook for me?” I smiled knowing perfectly well that he hated cooking because he sucked at it.

“Really? You want me to cook for you? Unless you want food poisoning, I’d suggest that we go out for dinner. Nandos sound good to you?” I simply nodded and after a few minutes of getting ready, we were on our way there. We sat down at a booth prepared for 6 because there were no other tables available.

“People are probably thinking that we’re weird for sitting on the same side of the table when we have so much space but I don’t care because at least I can do this.” Jack leaned in and tilted my chin up slightly and gave me a sweet kiss sending butterflies to my stomach. The moment was perfect. Well that was until we were interrupted.

“Jackamo! Alexis! What are the odds! Great to see you here bro!” Finn nearly yelled causing many people to turn to look at us. He looked a little too happy but then I saw the blondie standing beside him; she’s most likely the reason for the large smile on his face. “You guys remember Lisa right?” he took a hold of her hand and pulled her closer to him. She had a smug look on her face. She was giving me the same face from when I first met her at the carnival.

“Yeah.” Jack answered but I just nodded.

“Nice to see you again.” I tried greeting her pleasantly but nothing could wipe that nasty expression off her face.

“Yeah.” Lisa responded unenthusiastically.

“We just got here. Do you mind if we sit here with you?” Finn asked but Jack and I just looked at each other and gave each other a worried look. “Great!” Finn responded after noticing that Jack and I might actually say no. Finn sat down across from me and Lisa sat across from Jack. I couldn’t help but giggle when I saw the seriously pissed off expression on her face.

“What’s so funny?” Jack whispered in my ear.

“Nothing babe.” He gave me a small peck on the cheek and took his phone out, probably to avoid the awkward conversation that was about to come. As I looked up and forward, I saw Finn, whose smile had now faded. He looked straight into my eyes and I looked away quickly but I could still feel his stare on me.

From then on I mostly spoke to Jack but Finn would often interrupt our conversations with silly questions. Luckily the food came quickly and the interrupting stopped but it was replaced by little romantic gestures between Finn and Lisa.

They started talking in a pitch slightly high than their normal one and if that wasn’t enough, they started using pet names like “bunny” and “kitten”. Gross!

I’m not jealous. Nope. Or at least I think I’m not. But even if I am just a little, can you blame me? I never stopped loving Finn. I just happened to love Jack more, which is the exact reason why I’m here sitting next to him attempting to enjoy my meal.

“Here try this muffin.” Finn said bringing his fork up off his plate and up to Lisa’s mouth. She took a bit and then Finn wiped a bit that was left on the corner of her mouth.

I felt like the freaking hulk as envy enveloped me and in that moment I don’t know what came over me. I might have not so accidentally kicked him.

“Ouch!” he groaned.

“I’m sorry Finn! That was an accident. I thought I felt something on my shoe and I tried to shake it off. I must’ve hit you in the process.” I tried to explain but there was no hiding the truth on my face. Great, now I’m a liar.

FINNS POV

I asked Lisa out tonight hoping to forget about Alexis but when I saw her kissing Jack earlier I couldn’t help my instinct to stop that kiss. I saw this as my chance to make her jealous and I was out to make the best of it. I saw her watching us as Lisa and I exchanged pet names and even when I gave Lisa a bite of my food.
