Jacksgap?

I felt light hitting my face directly and even though my eyes were closed, the light still bothered me. I slowly opened them and faced away from the light. At first I was a bit confused when I woke up in Finns room still holding his hand from last night but then I pieced together that I must’ve fallen asleep here when I was waiting for Finn to fall asleep. I let go of Finns hand gently and took out my cell phone from my jeans back pocket. I was shocked to see how many missed calls and text messages I had; most from Jack.

Lexi how’s Finn? Jason told me you took him back home. – Jack

Lexi where are you? Its late. – Jack

A text back would be nice babe – Jack

Lexi call me back asap please! Why aren’t you answering? – Jack

Lexi why aren’t you answering your phone? We’re worried! – Jason

Since you’ve decided to go awol, do you mind if I stay in your room tonight? – Jason

Lexi im really worried now! Atleast text me back! – Jack

Baby please! – Jack

“Shit.” I groaned and quietly tried to leave the room so that Finn wouldn’t wake up. Mission failed.

“Alexis? Where are you going?” Finn stretched and rubbed his eyes attempting to wake up faster.

“I have to go. I fell asleep here last night and I have to get back home. I hope you’re better now.” I ran out the room and ran down the street looking for a taxi to take home. I wanted to call Jack but I figured he was asleep.

When I got home I tried to kinda sneak in hoping no one would wake up. There was no point. Jack was awake. He was standing a few feet away from my bedrooms door and he had his arms crossed against his chest. He didn’t hear me enter and was looking at the floor with ‘WORRIED’ written all over his face. I closed the door and the lock made a cling.

Jack looked up at me and nearly ran to me letting out a sigh when he finally placed his arms around me in a warm hug. He then placed his hands on my face and pulled me in for a passionate kiss. It had the feeling of longing.

When his lips finally left mine I was able to clearly see his face. There were dark circles under his eyes and his face lacked his cute shade of pink.

“Jack did you sleep last night? Like at all?” I asked hoping to hear a yes.

“No. I couldn’t. Not without you by my side.” He responded quietly.

“Well I’m here now.” I took his hand in mine and intertwined our fingers. “Get some rest babe. You need it.” I urged him but he didn’t move.

“Why are you just arriving now? Why didn’t you come home last night and why didn’t you answer my phone calls or texts?”

“I’m sorry Jack. I took Finn home and I waited for him to fall asleep before leaving but I guess I ended up falling sleep myself. Don’t worry though, nothing happened. I was just sitting on a chair next to his bed.” Relief enveloped him. “Now can you please go to bed? You need your beauty sleep.” I joked but he only gave me a small smile. He was probably too tired to laugh. I pulled him towards my room but he stopped me.

“Jason is sleeping in there. He stayed up waiting for you too but I told him to go sleep in your room a couple hours back. I hope that’s okay.” I nodded and walked over to the couch with him. He sat down and asked me to sit down next to me so I did. He wrapped his arms around me and rested his head on my shoulder. Within minutes, he was asleep.
