Could this work? (A Hometown Fanfic)

The sleepover.

By the end of the movie, I was in tears. All of the boys just looked at me confused.

"What? Mufasa gets me every time" then we all laughed. I asked if anyone was hungry and they all nodded, so I headed to the kitchen. I made popcorn, cookies, and strawberries with whipped cream. As I was still in the process of rolling the cookie dough into little balls. Someone wrapped their arms around me from behind. I wasn't expecting so I screamed and dropped the cookie dough back into the pan.

"Don't worry it's just me," Brendan laughed.

"Oh... Sorry you just scared me" I blushed. He just laughed once again and started helping me with the desserts.

•meanwhile•

~~~~~CIAN'S POV~~~~~

As the movie ended Katie was crying. We all just looked at her and asked what was wrong.

"What? Mufasa gets me every time" she laughed and we were all relieved that nothing was wrong. She got up to make desserts and soon after Brendan followed. She screamed and then they laughed. I wish that was me laughing with her, helping her make desserts, cuddling her. But she's Brendan's and I respect that. But I can't help but stress out over it.

I sat on the couch with my elbows on my knees, I ran my hands through my hair. 'I need a haircut' I thought to myself. I sighed, maybe a little to loud because the boys noticed and looked at me. All of them knew that I liked Katie except Bren. And all of them swore not to tell anybody. They all just pulled me in for a hug when Katie and Bren started walking in with the desserts. I wasn't very hungry so I just sat next to Dayl while him and Josh talked about FIFA.

I was caught by surprise when Dayl spun me around am whispered something to me.

"Katie asked Josh and I what was wrong with you because you seemed a little down. We told her you were homesick. Just remember that because I think she might ask you," I just nodded and started talking to Josh and Dayl about random things like football (soccer) and strawberries. I knew they were doing this to get my mind off of Katie and quite frankly, it was working.

I was caught off guard, again, when Katie asked me if she could talk to me. I just nodded and walked to the kitchen. I knew what she was going to ask as the boys had warned me.

"Cian? Hello?" She waved her hand in front of my face.

"Oh ya what's up?" I asked. I must have been spacing out.

"I said are you ok? Ever since the meet and greet you've seemed a little down... Did I do something?" She asked me. I wanted to scream yes but I didn't. It's not her fault she's perfect. I just looked at her and shook my head no.

"Nah I'm just a bit homesick" I lied. I couldn't tell her the truth, even if I really wanted to. I think I'm going to start looking for a girlfriend so I will stop thinking about Katie.

She just looked at me and nodded.
We then walked to the living room where I sat down and started talking with Dayl.

"Hey bro what did you say?" He asked. He claimed he knew what she had asked me because I walked back and apparently looked guilty and sad. I smiled and tried to look happy instead of suspicious.

"I lied and told her I was homesick" I sighed. He just nodded and patted my back. I smiled and then we had an idea. We were going to have some snapchat fun. We hadn't done an LNA in literally forever and that was some good craic so we asked Dean if he would record. Of course he agreed and we went into the kitchen to start planning.

I'm pretty sure Cian just lied to my face but you know, if he has to lie then I probably shouldn't but them about it anymore. I walk to the living room where all the lads are sitting. I notice Cian, Dayl, and Dean are gone.
