COMMON HIGHLANDS

---------------------------------

Caught.

At my weakest, he won.

That British won by reviving me, I still would not consider him... physically. In my mind, I cursed my self harshly.

Pride.

With no further words, I hung up my phone and pulled up into the driveway next to Isabella's car. I grabbed my things and removed myself out of the car. It felt like I was carrying a ton on my shoulders. I walked slowly to the front door and unlocked it. When I walked inside, I locked the door behind me and walked into my bedroom.

Isabella was sleeping in my bed, as usual and I quietly placed my things on top of my dresser. I climbed into the bed and covered myself. Though I wasn't able to fall asleep instantly, I was emotionally drained.

"It didn't go so good huh?." She asked and I turned faced her so that I could see her.

"It went the way... it was supposed to go I assume."

"Why won't you just follow your heart Lacey?"

"Because his heart made me suffer." I said and laid my head down.

"You're becoming who he used to be." She scolded me.

"Good." I said and closed my eyes.

We exchanged conversation for about another ten minutes then we just lied there in silence. About a half hour later I fell asleep and didn't wake up until a quarter till 11am. Isabella was gone, and I freshened up to get some things done. I was almost afraid to grab my cell phone because of the missed calls and text messages. I called British, and finally gave him the address to my location in Common Highlands, and he was rushing to get to me.

After he pulled in the driveway beside my car, I opened the door and ran outside to jump into his arms. British is my home.

He lifted me from the ground and carried me back into the house. I made tea for us while he watched at the island in silence. He's got this look in his eyes that makes me feel complete. I don't want to be away from British... ever. He makes me want to change my mind about things.

He's the only man that's ever mad me feel zealous.
