"Wake up!" screamed Dad while beating my legs with a belt.

"Stop! I'm awake!" I replied.

Dad pulled my hair and pushed me against the wall and whispered,

"How dare you tell Alfie about me. You'll get it from me now!"

I started to scream as loud as I could and tried to escape but to no avail.

Mom & Anastasia went out to the market and no one was at home except dad & I.

He then took the pot that Grandma gave me and threw it to my head. My head started bleeding profusely.

Even after realising my head is bleeding profusely, dad kept on beating me. Due to the excruciating pain, I collapsed.

Hearing the doors of the house opening, Dad escaped out of the house by the window.

"We're home!" shouted Anastasia.

"Is Felisha awake? Ana, please wake your sister up." asked mom.

Anastasia opend the door to my room with horror.

Ana frozed at the gruesome sight and stood motionless like a statue.

"Mom!!" shouted Ana.

"What is i-"

Mom started crying and tried to "wake me up".

She then took out her phone and summon for help. In a quavery voice, she managed to report.

Shortly after, a wail of sirens reverberated in the air. The paramedics sprang into action immediately.

The law enforcers cordoned off the area. Curious neighbours gathered around my house. Statements were taken down and investigation promptly commenced. Imelda, who was walking home realised the crowd infront of my house and called Alfie immediately.

"Alf, there's ambulance at Felisha's house. I don't know what is happening. Come now,"

Alfie ran to my house and at the same time, I was carried to the ambulance van. Alfie saw mom & Ana crying and went up them.

"Marine? What happened?" asked Alfie.

"Fel.... her head was bleeding and there were bruises everywhere on her body."

Shocked, Alfie ran to the ambulance van and tried to go in.

"Sir, you can't go in!" shouted one of the paramedic.

"No!! She's my girlfriend!"

"Only her family members are allowed."

"Please!!! I need to be with her!" pleaded Alfie.

"Fine,"
