Iris POV
I was running through the woods being chased by some unknown people. My pack had been attacked and the last thing I remembered was my best friend Cassidy telling me to run. Cassidy had been my best friend since birth and she was basically my sister. I hoped she was ok, I will circle back to her after another half hour. I'm almost 17 and I don't want to face the future without her. But then again she was a highly skilled fighter and could beat almost anyone in the pack.
After waiting for a bit I finally went back to find anyone who was left in my pack. Looking around I saw scattered bodies of those who used to be my friends. It was such a horrible scene I thought I might cry. "Cassidy! Cassidy!" I called walking around more. "Oh my god Iris! I thought I lost you! I'm so glad you're ok." A beautiful blonde with sea green eyes came running up to me and throwing her arms around me. Even though shes 5"6' shes still taller than me. Sometimes being 5"2' is such a pain. I put my black hair back into braid so it would stop falling into my face.
Cassidy looked deep into my bright blue eyes with her own light sea green ones before pulling me close and telling me that he brother thought I was gone forever and flipped out. Luke was one of the most handsome wolves in what was our pack. He was 5"8' with the prettiest hazel eyes and with light brown hair that would constantly fall in his face.
"Luke. Where's Luke? What happened? Who attacked us?" I questioned her as soon as she let go of me again.
"I don't know for sure. All I know is that he started to run off after you but then he got side swiped by some big brown wolf." She said looking like she was about to cry. "I didn't know if he got you after that cuz I was trying to protect mom but, but-" She broke off with a sob and I wrapped my arms around her comforting her.
"It's ok Cass. I got you." I kept her close as I tried to think of what to do next. Hopefully the neighboring pack would accept us as new comers. But there was always that chance that they would just kill us instead.
