Austin POV
Today is the day after the twins birthday. So far the only good thing that came out of that was the Skylar found her mate and if Angie doesn't find hers soon then thing will start to go downhill pretty quickly.
The reason that is is because:
A) Skylar's going to go into heat soon and then only Sam can control her
B) Angie's wolf is going to be antsy because she doesn't have her mate yet
And C) if Skylar and Sam don't fully mate when she's in heat then unmated male wolfs will be all over our territory.
Well that and also today I have a meeting with my father to see at what time I am able to step up and become alpha. Usually the oldest becomes alpha or in some cases luna and I can choose if I want to be alpha or not because I have another sibling I can pass it down to if I really want to or if I die when I have no heir, one of my sisters could take up the responsibility. Oh the joys of having siblings. As I walk into my fathers office and sit down I see the beta and my mother as well. "Austin I am sorry to tell you that we will have to discuss the matter of you becoming alpha at a later time because in about 30 minutes the soon to be alpha of the Red Dawn pack will be coming to see if one of our females is his mate."
The Red Dawn pack is the second largest pack after ours. They are a very strong and beautiful pack. It would be an honor to have one of our females as the luna of that pack.
"But father, what will happen if she is not in our pack?"
"I'm not sure my son. He has been to a majority of the packs already and he has not found her. He is going to be 18 in a few months so it is dire for him to find his mate now. They have been having troubles keeping unmarked females off of him already."
Jackie POV
I wonder if Austin will take the position of alpha from his father in a few years time. The power that he will hold over the pack would change significantly. If he does take the position then our lives could possibly be put in danger but I know that the pack will protect us and our future young. The pack is lucky because they could have the choice of three different leaders but since Austin is the oldest he shall decide if he wants to lead.
