What happened to true love?
Where have all the happy endings gone?
Countless stars up in the sky,
Without a single one to wish upon?
Why is it always about the looks,
Wasn't there beauty and the beast?
Maybe they are just fairy tales,
Stories never meant to be.
I set my heart out free,
To find me a prince,
But it only came back broken,
Inch by inch by inch,
All I can do now is let the tears fall,
Fairy tales-stories, That's all.
One night I had a dream,
Cinderella, glass slipper and all,
But things were a little different,
Cinderelly had a fall,
The prince caught her-handsome and young,
The story was shorter-wedding bells already rung,
The dream carried on, all night long,
Every fairy tale seemed different and wrong,
No more suffering, no more trials,
No more villains, cruel and vile,
I woke up with a longing heart,
Knowing the world can't change,
It will never start,
True love doesn't conquer,
I know that much,
There's only heartbreaks,
And the such.
