Does this have anything to do with Grayson...
---------------

*Skylar's POV*

He took a deep breath and continued talking.

"Okay, when you go back to school tomorrow, he will prove to you that he loves you."

"How?" I asked in doubt.

"He won't...hurt you tomorrow. I'll tell him to go to school and-"

"Ethan?"

"Yea?"

"Don't tell him to not bully me. I want to see what he does himself. It's the only way I'll find out if he truly loves me."

"Um..." He looked at the floor, then around the room. "Okay, I won't say anything."

"You promise?" I raised my hand and lifted my pinky finger, gesturing towards his hand.

"I promise." He raised his hand as well and connected our fingers. I slightly smiled. He pulled away and sighed.

"Ok, well. I should probably get back home. My mom will be back soon."

"Oh, okay." My mind was focused on other things.

He stood up, adjusting himself. I stared down at the floor with panicking thoughts roaming through my head. In seconds I felt a pair of lips on my cheek. I lifted my head and looked him in the eyes. He smiled at me and I grinned back. He turned his back to me and walked out the door without saying another word.
I sat on the couch in silence. Anxiety filled my body.

What if Grayson does hurt me.

The same thought kept replaying in my mind. I looked up at my living room wall and looked at the square clock that was nailed to the wall. I squinted my eyes to read the time.

3:12.

*Ethan's POV*

I stood on her porch, pacing back and forth. I promised I wouldn't tell Grayson to "be nice" or to "not bother her." And I'm going to keep my promise. But, I don't know what Grayson will do. Whenever he's hurt, his emotions turn into anger, and he takes them out on other people. And I know that Skylar is probably one of his biggest targets at the moment. My breathing was heavy due to the panic that filled my body. My worry for Skylar was through the roof. I'm just hoping Grayson realizes his idiotic decisions, before he makes them.

I walk off her porch and into the grass. As soon as I face my house I see a my moms car in the driveway.

She's not supposed to be home until a little bit later..

I shook off the thought and ran through the grass until I came in contact with my front door. I turned the knob, but the door wouldn't open. I knocked on the door a couple times before I heard the locks being fiddled with. Seconds later my moms face appeared in front of me, she had a grin on her face.

"Hey sweetie, where have you been.?"

"Oh, I was just out for a walk. Why are you home early?"

"My boss said i was done for the day."

I nodded my head indicating i understood. She moved out of the doorway and I walked in. She closed and locked the door behind me. I began walking to the stairs, but I stopped in my tracks when I heard her speaking to me.

"Ethan?"

"Yes?" I questioned walking back to where she was, still standing in front of the door.

"Is Grayson okay?" My eyes widened, but I then remembered I had told her he was sick.

"Oh, um yea. I'm sure he's fine." I scratched the back of my neck, due to the nervous feeling in my stomach.
