I grab my backpack and pull my keys out and unlock the door. I open the door and look around no one is home. I throw my backpack in my room and stomp downstairs, talking to my mom on the phone.
"Yep okay mom I'll see if he can. Bye," I say, ending the call.
I look at Cameron as he walks into the house closing the door behind him. He looks up at me on the stair case. I walk all the way down.
"So my mom called and she wants you to say here until she comes home because she wants to meet you," I tell him.
He gets nervous. I notice because he gets quiet and red.
"She's not going to judge you," I say and he relaxes," she just likes to get to know my friends. So in the mean time what do you want to do."
"Well can you show me around this big, beautiful house of yours?"
"Of course," I say," right this way to the kitchen!"
I show him the kitchen, dinning room, backyard, the 2 full bathrooms, the basement, my brother's room, my parent's room, my parent's bathroom, my room, and the living room.
"Last but not least my living room!"
"Cool!"
"Now what do you want to do?," I ask.
"Um," he says looking around," OH! I remember!"
He looks at me smiles and pushes me. Making me fall on the couch, laughing. He jumps on top of me and tickles me. I laugh uncontrollably.
"Ah ha ha ha," I laugh," the tickling. IT'S BACK!"
"As you can see, I figured out what I want out of this," he says as he laughs at me wiggling around.
"What anything, stop, please... I beg you," I say gasping for air.
He smirks and shakes his head. He looks at me straight in the eyes. He leans toward my ear and whispers in a soft voice...
"I want you to kiss me."
He keeps tickling but not as strong. I laugh a little and think. I tell him -while laughing in between words- to lean in. He tilts his head to the side, to hear what I have to say but I wiggle my arms, out of his grasp and move his face, so we can be face to face.
I bite my lip, thinking before my final decision. I move his hands from my ticklish spots and while he isn't looking, I lean up and move my lips into his. We kiss and after he looks into my eyes deeply. I giggle and wiggle my eyebrows causing him to chuckle.
"Whoa, that was awesome, best kiss by far," he says,"You know you could of kissed me on the cheek?"
"What do you think we are kindergartners? Come here," I say pulling his face in for more kisses.
"Will you go out with me?"
I look up startled thinking I was hearing things but he really did ask me. I stare deeply into his eyes and...
The front door handle starts to move...
~~~
The door lock jiggles and the door starts to creek open. He jumps off me and fixes his hair, as I do the same. We laugh as if we planned to fake laugh.
"I can't believe he said that," I say as my mom walked in.
"Yeah and I can't believe they thought we were dating?," he replies, throwing his head back as he laughs.
My mom walks in first with a frown and then a smile when she sees were talking, laughing, and having a good time. She puts her suitcase down and sits down in the chair next to us.
When we stop laughing she starts talking to us...
"How are you sweetie? What did the doctor say? Is this Cameron?," she questions, smiling ear to ear when she asks the third question.
"Good, just a concussion, and yes," I answer.
"That's good," she says, then looks at Cameron,"So how did you guys meet?
"Well we didn't start being friends until I kind of left my locker open and she slammed into it, but we first said something to each other on the bus."
"Well that will be cool you guys are on the same bus!," she says so excitedly,"So Cameron what are you? Freshman, Sophomore?"
"No actually I'm a Junior," he replies with a worried look.
My mom doesn't care what grade he is in, at least I don't think so. She keeps smiling, she can't believe I made a friend, but I actually made two. She doesn't know that yet though.
"Well I have to go back to work," she comments,"Can you stay here with her? I don't want her to get dizzy, then fall, and get hurt."
"Yes I can stay and believe me," he responds," It isn't pretty when she's dizzy," he puts his hands to his face and loudly whispers to my mother,"She was a hot mess!"
"Huh HA," my mom laughs loudly,"I'll be back for dinner, so is 6:30pm okay? If you want you can stay and eat with us."
"What is he my babysitter?," I ask.
"Wow. You have one snotty baby," Cameron comments over me," And yes that's fine. Also I would love to join you guys for dinner."
"Great," my mom replies," See you for dinner. Bye"
"Bye," we say as she shuts the door.
I stand up and lock the door after my mother, as Cameron races over next to me. I give him a look. He tells me to remember what my mom said; and she said for him to stay here to keep me from falling when I'm dizzy. I smile and stand on my tippy toes to go kiss him on the cheek, but before I can, he scoops me up over his shoulder , as I scream and punch his back.
"Put me down," I squeal.
He throws me on the couch. I catch my breath after the impact. He laughs and walks by in front of me. I grab the bottom of his shirt, spin him around, and get him to lean in, close up -face to face-.
I kiss his nose and he spins me around and Cameron kneels down and pulls me in and kisses me. I kiss him back, as I put my hands on his face, brushing my fingers along his cheeks, to his hair.
Cameron stops, starts to smirk, and tickles me. I gasp for air, as I laugh hard. I try to wiggle out of his grasp, but he's to concentrated on tickling me. I grab his hands and try to pull them away from my sides, but he's to strong, and I can't stop him.
"Stop, I already did what you wanted. What else do you want from me?," I say trying to breath in between each word.
"You didn't answer my question," he comments,"Will you go out with me,"
"Wait are you talking to me or are you face timing someone?," I reply and he chuckles," Well if your talking to me then, of course I'm going to say... YES!"
His smile goes ear to ear and he scoops me up, bridal style. He kisses me all over my face. He hugs me and spins me around. After that, he puts me down back into the same position as before hugging me as I lay on my back, on the couch and he's kneeling on the ground. We're face to face and he could never be happier! And neither could I...
