Just Keep Swimming

Chapter 20

~July 19~

I wake up at 10:30 and have 100 text from all my friends. I don't know why, but I don't open them right away. I roll myself off the bed and into my bathroom. After, I grabbed my phone and looked down.

Where you at?~ Katie
~another message~
Hey babe~ Cameron

I text them back. I get dressed and walk down stair. My brother, David, is in the kitchen. I grab some cereal and pour it into a bowl. I yawn and my phone buzzes. Cameron just answered me. I close the text without responding, and look up.

"Hey," my brother says sitting next to me.
"Sup."
"Where's your boyfriend?," he asks.
"I don't know, at home probably. Why?"
"Well if you want I was going to a live show of the Impractical Jokers, and I have 2 extra tickets, my girlfriend and I are going, you and Cameron should come with us."
"That sounds like fun," I reply," I'll ask him."
"Okay let me know in an hour," he responds grabbing his keys," because it's tonight."

    He hits my arm as he walks by.

'Bye bitch," he says.
"See ya asshole," I reply as he opens the front door.

    he closes the door behind him and I scramble to get my phone. I text Cameron about the thing. In seconds I get a response.

Hell ya! Of course I want to go!~ Cameron

    I throw on a shirt that has a ferret on it and braid my hair. I open my door and walk into the living room. David and his girlfriend, Riley, are down there making out. I cough, gross, many times and they break apart. David flips me off and I laugh.
    The door bell rings and I walk over to the door. When I open the door, I see Cameron smirking. He comes in and kisses me. I giggle and push away. We look over at my brother and he he glares as Cameron.
    Cameron gulps, but I knew my brother wasn't going to be irritated. He's not one of those over protected brothers. He walks over and looks down at Cameron and gives him a death stare. Then, I start to laugh and David joins in.

"You should of seen your face bro," David says to Cameron.
"Wait, what," Cameron replies.
"I'm not angry with you for kissing my sister," he laughs," LIKE A CARE!"

    We all laugh and hop into the car. Impractical Jokes, here I come.

    When we get to the place, there are a bunch of other buildings, but the biggest one is the live concert. We got there an hour and a half, so we walk threw the smaller building buildings.

"Hey Cameron," I say.
"Yeah."
"Can I have I have a piggy back?," I ask.
"Ugh," he comments.
"Please," I pout.
"Fine," he responds," only because I love you."

    I grin and jump onto his back. He carries me through about three buildings and then he throws me off. Then the show started. Joe, Murr, Q, and Sal walk onto the stage as we sit down in our seats.

"Welcome," Joe says," To the best show you will ever see."
"I'd beg to differ," Sal responds," We have planned pretty stupid stuff for you guys."

everyone laughs and the show goes on...

~half way through the show~

"Okay look under your chairs. If you have a beach ball taped to the bottom of your chair then grab a partner and come up," Murr explains," oh and there are only two of them!"

Everyone searches under their chair, for the paper. I throw my hand into the air holding a beach ball. My other hand grabs Cameron's wrist and we rush over to the stage. We wait as the other pair comes up.

"Hi," Q says shaking our hands," so introduce yourselves."
"Hi I'm Jill and I'm 23," the lady says.
"I'm Jane and I'm 23 also," her friend says.
"hi Jane and Jill," Joe says," Now how about you two?"
"I'm Cameron and I'm 18."
"I'm Avery and I'm 17," as I say this I hear my brother whoop and I hold back my laughter.
"Well hi guys," Sal says," Are you guys ready to play a game?"

We play a game about who knew the most about the show. Cameron and I won and got a bunch of shirts and DVDs. Then after about two hours later, the show was over. We walked out and walk through the stores we didn't get to before. After that, half the people had left the place and there was not a lot of traffic now. So we hopped into the car and headed home.

David's girlfriend leaves and now it's just me, David, and Cameron. David goes up into his room and leaves us alone. Cameron helps me bring up the stuff we bought and won.

"So what's the plan," I ask putting the last thing down.
"I was thinking of sleeping over," he responds," if that's okay."
"Yeah," I say.
"Cool because," he answers," I'm to tired to drive home."

He flops onto my bed and I giggle. I stand next to him and he throws me onto the bed next to him. He flips over and he smiles at me. I look at him and smile back. He wiggles his way next to me and lays by my side. I rest my head onto his chest. He runs his hands through my hair.

"I love you," he whispers to me.
"I love you too," I say wrapping my arms around him.

I fall asleep a couple minutes later, snuggled up to Cameron. Not thinking about how much about I'm going miss him when he's in college.
