chapter 14

---------------ALEXS POV---------------

I was in reading class and Mrs. Sige was telling us about reading strategys like always. Noah and I kept passing notes back and forth about random stuff. Then this other kid in our class, Robert, handed me a note.

I opened it and it said: How are you handling Chloe leaving?

"Woah! What!? Chloe's not leaving!" I screamed out loud. Chloe wasn't in class today because she had to go help with the pep rally since she's a cheerleader. I guess she was a cheerleader in her old school and the other cheerleaders thought she was good so they let her join.  "Mr. Gutierrez! Please don't yell!" Mrs. Sige yelled at me. "Sorry" I said. Chloe's leaving? Why didn't she tell me?

--------------CHLOES POV--------------

I walked into lunch with Jessie. The cheerleaders were finally finished setting up the pep rally for tomorrow. I wasn't in any of my morning classes so I could help set up in the gym. I got my food and sat down at our normal table. Alex and Noah were already sitting down and they both looked angry and sad at the same time.

"Hey guys! What's the matter?" I asked them. "I think you know" Alex told me. "What do you mean?" I asked him. "I mean why are you leaving?" he said. I looked at Jessie. She was the only person I'm the whole school I told. "I swear I didn't tell anyone." Jessie said holding her hands up in defense.

"So its true" Noah and Alex asked in unison. "Um yeah. I'm going to Florida for 3 months and I'm going to live with my Aunt for that time. Oh and Jessie is coming with me." I said looking down at my feet. "When are you leaving?" Noah asked sympathetically.

"Saturday." I said almost about to cry. "When were you going to tell us? Were you even going to tell us? Or were you just going to leave us without saying anything?" Alex asked. Anger in his voice. He had his hands in fists. "I was going to tell you guys tomorrow night.... I didn't want our anniversary to be ruined by me leaving so I didn't wanna tell you until after....." I said now breaking out in tears.

"Oh" is all Alex could say. "Why didn't you ask me to come with you?" He asked. "Because I didn't want to side tracking you from your career. Your just getting out there and I didn't want to get in your way...." I said still crying. "So you really were thinking about me this whole time?" he asked me. "Well yeah I was. I love you Alex and I didn't want to hurt you."

"I love you too Chloe and I'm sorry I freaked out, but I'm gonna really miss you." He said hugging me almost crying too. But we are in school so I know he wasn't going to cry. "I'm gonna miss you too. But we can Skype everyday. Okay?" I said. "Definitely. We have to make this work because I cant risk losing you." Alex told me. Man im really gonna miss this kid.
