The rest of the week went by. I avoided Seth successfully. Ever since I said I would talk to him, I have been maybe slightly trying to run every time I see him whether if I was in the parking lot or in school. Even in the mall, I would be cautious. Who knows where that boy could be?
Well, now it's Saturday. I don't have to leave the house forcefully since Alexis has dance and cheer practice and Angelina left yesterday to California for her cousin's wedding. I sigh in contentment since no one can drag me out or force me to go anywhere so it makes it all the more easier to avoid Seth.
Maybe unless he's invited here or he comes here willingly. Shoot, I probably jinxed it. Oh, well let's just see how this plays out.
I start off my day by sleeping in late. I don't wake up till 11. Luckily, Max isn't home and is at his friend's house so I didn't have to be up early to make him breakfast and his nanny did instead. Though, he did try to wake me up earlier, but I fell right asleep once he left.
I have no one to impress today so I take a shower and slip on some sweats and a white singlet. Actually, I have no one to impress any day. I just like dressing nice.
My whole ends up being consisted of Netflix, food, and social media. It was until someone decides to come over and ring the doorbell. I didn't know who to expect since obviously my parents and Max wouldn't do that since they live here and my friends are all busy.
I open the door to see Seth Dawn in all his fabulous glory. I have to admit Seth isn't bad looking at all. He's gorgeous. His black hair is messy, but it makes him seem even more handsome. His hazel eyes are mesmerizing. His facial features are to die for in a boyfriend. His body is muscular, but not overly like he's on steroids.
I realize I was checking him out and snap out of my daze. "Hey." I say.
"Hey." Then after a while of that exchange, he speaks up again. "So earlier this week during dinner, you said we'd talk so is it okay if we do now? You can't avoid me forever, Angel."
Ah, Angel. He used to call me that. I was his angel. I was his purity and hope. I don't know whether to tell him to not call me that or just allow him.
I end up not commenting on it. I just nod and lead the way to the living room and he shuts the door. I take a seat and he does too, next to me.
I look up at him after a while of awkward, nervous silence only to see him already looking at me.
"You changed a lot." Those are his first words.
"Uh thanks? I guess."
"Um it's a good thing. I like your attitude and your personality is still the same. You're more stubborn though which is not such a bad trait. I like it." He says nervously.
"Are we going to talk about what happened or are you going to comment on the difference between who I was before and who I am now?" I say straightforwardly.
"Uh, right. Sorry."
"It's fine. But thanks." I smile slightly.
That one thing brought a little light to his eyes like our friendship has hope.
"Angelika, I'm really sorry. I mean it. I'm sorry for being a dumb idiot. I should've stuck by you but I was utterly brain dead. I should've been the best friend that went against everyone just for you because that's what you would've done for me. I'm so fucking sorry. I'm such a fuck up. I hate it when you left. I was depressed since my best friend left me like I left her when she needed me. I would say that you shouldn't blame me since I was just a middle schooler at the time, but it's no excuse to what I've done. I'm so sorry, Angel." He basically pleads for my forgiveness, only if he has known that I've already forgiven him.
"Seth?" I start.
"Yeah?"
"Do you think I haven't forgiven you?" I ask.
"I don't think so? I mean you've been pretty harsh to me since you got here and plus, you've been gone for 3 years so I guessed that you didn't." He explains.
"True, but you do know me, right?"
"Yeah, I know you've already forgiven me, but I'm trying to give you the apology you deserve."
I almost gasp in surprise. It's been 3 years since we've really talked and he still knows me. "How do y-" He cuts me off.
"Angel, it may have been 3 years, but I know you. You wouldn't change yourself completely and no matter how bad I fuck up, I know that you wouldn't hold a grudge on me. Even if you planned your revenge and try to get back at me, you'd stop the moment the plan was about to go in motion. Why? Because you're not that type of person and nothing could ever change you, the real you." He takes my hand.
I smile as tears start flowing out of my eyes. I engulf him into a hug. "Thank you, thank you for knowing me."
"I always will." He promises. "I love you, Angel."
"I love you, Sethy." He wraps his arms around my waist.
"I know I don't deserve you, but I'm glad I have you back." He smiles.
"Me too." With that, we just brought back our friendship.
After the turn of events, Seth ends up staying with me. We caught up with each other on the years we missed.
We watched movies like old times, took weird pictures of each other, and posted them on Twitter or snapchat. We were dm-ed or subtweeted shocked and confused comments.
It's nice to have my best friend back. I hope we stay like this. I can't imagine not having him by my side after this.
"Me and you?" He asks before he leaves.
"You and me." I confirm.
"Together."
"Forever."
"Best friends." We say together.
