It's been a week since the whole Rebecca thing. The next day he brought her again. Feelings weren't on my list, but apparently they are now.
It's also been a week since I ate at the cafeteria with my friends. I was supposed to eat with them, but after I got my lunch, I saw Seth and Rebecca so I ate outside, by myself. I just texted everyone the group chat that I had some missing work I had to do.
They all bought it except Alexis and Angelina.
Considering that Alexis has half of my classes and Angelina has the other half. They both know my grades. I have straight A's and I always do my work, but not everyone in the group knows that so I got away with it for all of them except my 2 best friends.
It's lunch right now. I stopped eating outside because they could easily catch me so I'm at the library. Only a bunch of people are here. Mostly, students that are nerds or are failing and need to catch up.
I'm just finding a distraction and trying to avoid the cafeteria or to be more precise, Seth. I grab a random book and take a seat at the table. I read for a little bit before realizing how boring it is.
The bell soon rings for math class and I dust off my jeans and top before heading out since I had a muffin earlier. I walk to my locker casually and grab my book.
I turn and Seth looking right at me. "Uh hey. What's up?"
"What's up? Seriously, Joy? I haven't seen you for a whole week. What's going on?" He asks.
"Nothing's up. I'm just busy." Seriously, Angelika? That's the best excuse you could give.
"That's your lame excuse?" Even Seth can tell.
"Lame? I think not. I am busy. Sorry if it's so hard to believe that I have better things to do than watch you and Rebecca suck face in the cafeteria while I try to hold my barf with the rest of us." I cross my arms defensively. "We may be friends, but that doesn't mean I will sit and watch you guys swap saliva. Sorry if not all of us find it entertaining and enjoyable to watch." I say sarcastically.
He freezes for a second before rubbing his hands across his face. "I'm sorry, Joy. I didn't know- I didn't realize.... I'm sorry. I should've been more considerate. I should've remembered how you feel about PDA. That it's rude and you don't need to know how much two people enjoy kissing each other."
Clearly, that was part of the reason. Only if he actually knew that.
"You're forgiven. Now I have to head off to math." I turn and walk away.
"See you later!" He yells out.
I just turn and give him a wave then head off.
We shut our books and leave class. This is one of the classes I have Angelina in. She's more understanding, but she's also very impatient.
She was pestering me about why I don't hang out with them during lunch. She, obviously, didn't buy my excuse of being busy and if I tell her what I told Seth, she'll just tease me and call me jealous.
We walk to the parking lot and meet everyone there. Of course, Seth and Rebecca are there. Let the fun begin.
"Hey Angelika." Mariana smiles.
"Hey. What's up?"
She pulls me and the other girls away from the guys and Rebecca. "So we're planning a party. Well, us, girls, are." She answers.
"For what?" Angelina asks
"Who's birthday is next weekend?" She raises an eyebrow.
"Oh my Theo James. It's Jay!" Alex freaks. "How could I forget? Good thing I bought his gift a few months back."
