Possibility: Lily Potter and Scorpius Malfoy

Lily's P.O.V.

I walked unsteadily through the door. My mind was reeling with questions. So what did Scorpius really think about me? Did he like me only as a friend or could he possibly.....no, he probably wouldn't. I was thinking too much. I mean, he was two years older than me. And I hardly even knew him!

My whole family and Scorpius were already sitting at the table waiting for me. "Come on Lily," my mother spoke. "Hurry up, everyone's waiting."

I sat down hesitantly, not saying a word. In truth, I was still stunned after my encounter with Scorpius and couldn't bring myself to speak, in case I would start stuttering.

I finished breakfast as quickly as I could so that I could leave the table. "Mum, may I be excused?"

My mother looked surprised, but nodded anyway. James and Albus were sitting there looking at me quizzically. I couldn't bring myself to look at Scorpius, in case I started blushing involuntarily. No, that couldn't happen. I turned and ran back to my room.

A little while after everyone had finished breakfast, there was a soft knock on my door. I groaned quietly, not really wanting to talk to anybody at the moment. "Who is it?"

There was a pause. Then the door flew open and my two older brothers burst in with flailing arms, falling over one another.

I stood up in shock. "You know, when someone asks 'Who is it', they don't mean: 'Please barge in and surprise the heck out of me,' do they?"

James stood up, brushing off himself. "I know, but you wouldn't get mad at me, now would you Lily?"

I stood still, unwilling to budge, and glared at him.

He stared back, and raised his eyebrows.

"James Potter. You'd better get out right now!" I snapped. I turned my glare to Albus. "You too."

Albus stepped forward. "Look Lily, we can tell something's on your mind. We want to know what it is and we won't leave unless you tell us."

I folded my arms stubbornly.

He did the same.

After an intense stare-down that lasted approximately 30 seconds, I relented. "Fine, what do you want to know?"

James sat down with a thump on my bed. "What's bothering you so much?"

"Nothing." I muttered.

"There's gotta be something."

I heaved a huge sigh. James clapped his hands together. "There you go! Something is bothering you!"

I couldn't help smiling. Just a little.

He leaned forward. "Go on."

"I guess I'm just worried about going to Hogwarts," I murmured.

Albus looked relieved, but James wasn't convinced. "You're not gonna fool me, Lily."

"It's true!" I stared up at him. And it was true, just not to that extent. I wasn't really as worried as I just said I was.

James still looked unconvinced. "Hey Al, would you mind leaving for a sec?"

Albus looked at him pleadingly.

"I'll tell you all about it afterwards, okay?" James promised.

Albus looked disappointed, but did as he was told and left the room.

James turned to me. "There's no one left but us now. Now will you tell me what's on your mind?"

"Really, there's nothing." I gazed at him, trying to convince him.

"Is it something to do with Scorpius?"

I stared at him. How could he possibly know?

"It's just that you've been acting weird ever since he came to stay with us." He explained. "Actually, no, make that when you saw him on the platform yesterday."

My heart pounded. James was closer to the catch than I expected. I tried to look skeptical.

"Well...Uncle Ron didn't like him much...so of course I wouldn't be as comfortable around him..."

James shook his head. "It's not like that. If it was that simple I wouldn't be asking you. I can tell this is different."

I raised an eyebrow at him.

He widened his eyes in mock annoyance. "I'm not that dumb, you know."

"I know that," I admitted. "Okay, you know what? I'll tell you, but just not right now." I smiled up at him. "Soon."

Sorry for this short chapter, it was more of a filler than anything, but anyway...

IT'S SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess this means I'll be updating more often, which I seem to be terrible at HAHAHA
