Hello everyone, it has been a while. I have some explaining to do.
So basically, my life has changed so much over the years when I first started writing. I started my sophomore year in high school, so two years ago. This was back when I didn't have much going on, and I really was motivated to write a book. I had tried four times before Harsh, writing fanfiction, but those stories never went anywhere. When I first started publishing the chapters of harsh, I was a bit apprehensive of how things would turn out.
I starting getting more reads, people started to reach out to me, it was crazy. I didn't know to what extent the story would go to, but I loved every second of writing. Even when I was stuck or my chapters got deleted. Mind you, I would write about 2,000 words per chapter, that was difficult. I kept going though and now Harsh has 3.1 MILLION reads! That's insane. My plan for harsh was that *SPOLIER ALERT* Luke would die at the end. No one would see it coming and I thought it was a good plot. But near the end of writing it, I had gotten too attached and loved writing this book so much. I couldn't let that happen.
So after I finished Harsh and posted the bonus chapters, and took time off from writing altogether, I was ready to start again. Or so I thought, I had made plans and I knew where I wanted the sequel to go. Yet here we are, I posted 6 chapters in a span of a year basically and I haven't updated since November. If you were apart of my life and you knew what was happening, you would understand why I don't have enough time to sit down 6+ hours each week to write a new chapter. But you guys don't know me personally, so I don't expect you to understand.
This story has changed my life, seriously. I was pretty confused and lost when I started writing. I had put so much time into the story, it almost became my life. It was easier for me to talk to people and I enjoyed doing something I loved which is writing. Not only this, but also I met two of my best friends through here. You may think I'm lying, but I met them at the 5SOS concert in Minnesota, after a brief meeting and lots of texts exchanges, they became my best friends. I'm not sure where I would be without them.
Sorry to get all sappy but I want you guys to know how much this story means to me. Telling you I'm going to discontinue it, is a struggle. I want nothing more to be able to finish this story, but I know that it is not possible for me right now. I'm never going to delete this or Harsh, or Yellow (which is another story I won't finish, ha ha, oops), because I still want people to be able to read them.
Since I did have a plan for the end of this book, I know what I wanted to happen. SO since I love you guys so much, if you comment asking questions about the end of the book, any secrets you are dying to know, I will answer them. I will check comments every so often and I will answer all of them.
This is isn't a goodbye. Maybe one day, I will pursue writing and end up re-writing harsh. If that day comes, I'll let you know. Or maybe I'll come back and write one more chapter for you. I'm not going to make any promises, but who knows what will happen. Also, if you want to be my friend, or just follow my life, here are my personal social media accounts (my identity is finally revealed)
Twitter: paige_elena
Instagram: paiggeeyy
Snapchat: paigeeyy21 (you can snap me if you want, I most likely will look like a trash bag)
So there you have it guys, I'm sorry this is so long. I just want you guys to understand that I'm not just giving up, I just have too many things going on. I love you all, and I'm so glad I experienced this with all of the nicest people ever. Please please please, if you ever want to write, do it! You never will know the result unless you try. I'm counting on all of you to express yourselves creatively and live with no regrets!
Love,
Paige :-)
