Clary and Jace had been training non-stop all day. It felt good to be active and preparing rather than jumping in without thinking of the consequences. But it was tough. Training with Jace was tough. I was pinned under him again and tried my best to get up, but I couldn't move that wall of hard muscle. Jace looked down at me smiling. He seemed happy for the first time in a while. It had only bee a week since our talk with Maryse but it felt like that was years away. He was gaining control of his heavenly fire and it took a lot for him to lose his cool.
I wriggled again but he wouldn't budge. His smile grew wide as he saw me trying to break his grip. He slackened his hold on the seraph blade as he smirked. Clary was so frustrated, she let out a groan.
"Conceive, do you?" Jace asked as he cocked his head to one side, and arrogant smile playing across his face. She couldn't let him win again. She was determined to beat him. An idea struck her as she seethed underneath him. He wasn't going to win this time!
She grabbed his shirt and pulled him in for a kiss, catching him by surprise. As soon as she felt him relax, I threw him off me and grabbed the sword from his hand. He was flat on his back and she pressed the blade into his throat. He tried to move but she just pushed the blade harder. She would never actually hurt him, but she knew he wouldn't be able to escape.
"Yield?" She asked him, smirking as she looked down on him, pinned underneath her. It gave her great satisfaction to finally have beaten Jace.
"You cheated." he said indignantly. She pulled the sword from his neck and gave him another kiss. He grabbed the sword from her hand and threw it to the side. He flipped her so she was back underneath him and kissed her again. They were letting go after holding back all day. It had taken a lot of self restraint from both of them to work all day and they were finally done. He separated from her and picked her up. She wrapped her legs around his waist and their lips met in another embrace.
They were in their own little world, disconnected from everything around them. They were so wrapped up in each other that they didn't here the door open. "Guys, seriously? That's gross. Go get a room." It was Izzy. Jace and Clary stopped kissing and Clary stood up.
"Well we do have a room." Said Jace gesturing around at the training room. He didn't even look at Izzy, his gazed was focused on Clary. Clary on the other hand was bright red in the cheeks and was looking at the floor.
"A private room!" It was Alec. He and Izzy had come in together to do some training but they had blanched at the site of Clary and Jace intertwined and making out. They both looked at the two people who had just entered the room. Clary turned an even deeper shade of red that made her cheeks turn as red as her hair. Jace was unabashed and stared at them as if they had ruined one of the best moments of his life.
He took Clary's hand and led her out the door, leaving Izzy and Alec in the training room. They walked down the hallway hand in hand, savoring the moments of tranquility and happiness they had before Sebastian showed up again. They went into his room and lied down on the bed. They just cuddled, taking comfort in each others arms. They slept in each other's embrace, keeping each other safe from all the craziness that surrounded them.

It was day break when Clary woke. She had been aroused by what sounded like an argument going on downstairs. She strained to here what was going on but the voices stopped abruptly. She looked at Jace, who was still holding in his warm embrace. she moved slowly, trying not to wake him but he still opened his eyes. He looked up at me and smiled.
"Go back to sleep." she told him, rubbing his arm. She stood up. "I'm just going to take a shower then I will be right back." she reassured him. She left the room and found Isabelle seething and stomping madly up the corridor.
"Can you believe my mom! She doesn't let us do anything!"
"What's wrong Izzy?"
"They have a lead on Sebastian!"
"WHAT?" shouted Clary
"Yeah! The worst part is, they wont let us go! Any of us!"
"Well that sucks." Clary stated, no longer shouting.
"YEAH!" Izzy continued to shout,
"Well quite down. Jace is sleeping." Isabelle scoffed. Clary rolled her eyes at her. "I'm going to take a shower."
Clary walked out of the hallway and into her room. She sat down on her bed, thinking about what Izzy had just told her. They wouldn't be able help. After all that happened, all they had been through, they deserved to help. She threw herself on her back in frustration. They can't be doing this.
She lay there for 10 minutes, thinking about Sebastian and what he will do next. She stood up and decided to go take a shower. There was no point dwelling about what was going on. She jumped as a loud crash resounded through the hallway. She ignored it, thinking it was just Izzy rampaging in anger.
She realized all her stuff was still in Jace's room. She walked out into the hallway and saw her mother and Maryse walking down the hallway. "Were leaving. We got a tip about Sebastian's location." said her mother.
"We'll be back soon." said Maryse
They continued walking and Clary was left to stare after them. They had been somber and it made Clary apprehensive. Nothing would happen, all of them could take Sebastian. She heard another crash resound through the hallway. Something wasn't right. Even for Izzy's 'tantrums'. She ran towards the source of the noise but when she looked inside the room, it was empty.
She stood in the doorway, wondering where the commotion was coming from. Jace's room was across the hall and she went in to get her stuff. The sight that met her eyes almost made her faint. The mirror in his room was broken, glass strewn all over the floor. There was blood on the bed, carpet and wall. Jace was nowhere to be seen but there were obvious signs of a struggle. She saw a knife pining a note into the wall. As she drew closer she saw something else tacked there. It was the picture of her and Jace sitting in front of the Institute. But there was something wrong. She almost screamed in horror at what she saw. Jace's face had an X over it but this X was made with Jace's blood. She took the note and saw blood staining the corner. She was too scared to read it but willed herself to anyway.
Dear Clarissa,
I am here, waiting. I have taken something that you hold dear... and I'm ever so sure you want him back. But you will understand, we are destined for each other. If I have to kill him, tear him to shreds and destroy his heart, just to make you see this, then I will. I would do anything for you. We WILL create a more power race than any other, together. I am the one for you. I would never hurt you. For hurting you he must, and will be punished.
'Till next my love,
Jonathan.
"Izzy! Alec! You need to get in here! NOW!"

Hey guys! Sorry it took me so long to publish. I have another book that I've been working on called Eternity's Curse and it hasn't been getting many reads so I've been working on that. Please check it out.
I know this chapter is short but I wanted to make it interesting. Was Sebastian crazy enough? Did the emotion really come through? Tell me in the comments.
