Family Altercation

Nightwing's POV
Morning came, and I made me and Mar'i breakfast. "You were outside very long, what were you doing?" I asked while giving her breakfast to her. "Nothing, just...nothing!" Mar'i said, oddly too. She's acting strange a little. "Dad, I got a question." Mar'i said, and I looked at her so she knows I'm ready for it "Why did Mom leave Tamaran?" she asked, and I was caught off guard. "Well, she didn't have choice in the matter. You see, Kori's sister Komand'r caused an invasion that got your mother captured and tortured for thirteen months." I explained, and she looked at me surprised and disgusted. I had the same look when I heard the story. "Oh.." she said, having a lost of words. Although, why did she even ask that question "Why you ask?" I asked her, and she started hesitating and said "Nothing, just wondering y'know." She's hiding something, I know it. It has something to do with why she was out so long last night. Don't worry, once night comes I'll figure out just what happened last night.

Nightstar's POV
I waited on the roof for Aunt Komand'r to come back.  I'm going to tell her I'm not going to rule Tamaran. I won't let her do to me what she did to my mom. She finally came and walked towards me "Have you made your decision, child?" she asked "Yea I do. I'm not going back there! That's not my home, Earth is. Sorry." I stated, and she began snickering "It's ashame. You're just as naive as your mother." she said, and back hand slapped me across my face, making me fall hard on the ground. "Now, you'll suffer like she will." she threatened and her eyes glowed purple along with her hands. However, something hit Komand'r in her back. She turned to see it was Dad.

Nightwing's POV
"Nice to see you again, Blackfire." I said while getting my shock sticks up.  "Weak peasant! I'll make you regret ever challenging me!" Blackfire shouted, and then flew at him. I threw a birderang at her which turned into a powerful rope that wrapped around Blackfire to keep her down. "Go to Kori! Get help! Now!" I shouted st her, and without hesitation she flew as fast as she could to Kori. "Oh no you don't!"  Blackfire shouted and ripped the ropes apart. I took out my shock staff and started swinging at her. She dodged and began trying to blast me, but I had dodged as well and tazed her. However, it stopped affecting her and she grabbed me by the neck. Her grip was too strong, and he gripped my neck until I fell unconscious.
