The battle of Hogwarts was just starting, and you were rushing around, hexing everything that was a foe. And in this battle, there were many. Voldemort wanted Harry, but he was a good friend of yours, and you were doing everything you could to keep the enemies at bay.

With every flick of your wrist, another enemy was down, but you couldn't hold them off for too much longer. They were getting closer and closer to Hogwarts, and you saw more of your allies falling. You were tempted to run, there was so much blood and the air reeked of death, but you were a Gryffindor, and Gryffindors were supposed to be brave.

A red head appeared next to you, and you recognized him to be your best friend, George Weasley. You glanced briefly at him, wondering why he was over here without Fred, before you continued on with the fighting. After a moment though, George grabbed your wrist and pulled you closer to him. He pressed his lips to yours in a passionate kiss, but pulled away a moment later.

"Sorry, wanted to do that at least once." George explained before disapparating. You gaped at where he had stood just moments before, before continuing on with the battle. You had had a crush on George for years, but you didn't think he liked you back, so that shocked you. You brushed the thought of George away, and focused only on killing what was trying to get in the castle. George's kiss had given you a burst of adrenaline, and you hurried all around, killing Death Eaters and whatever else was charging at the quickly diminishing army.

Point.

Kill.

Point.

Kill.

After a few hours of the battle, you were in a rhythm, and beings fell left and right from your wand. You felt slightly bad, but they were trying to get into Hogwarts, and Hogwarts was like a home to you; you had to protect your home.

You noticed that Percy and Fred were near you and rushed to go help them with the two people who they were fighting. You were sure that they could handle it, but there weren't any enemies extremely close to you at the moment, so you went anyway.

You three managed to subdue one of the men and kill the other, before you could feel a rumbling. You weren't sure what you should do, but you shouted "Descendo!" and the earth around all three of you fell. Right after you three were in the pit, an explosion shot past the top, exactly where you three had been a moment ago. Suddenly though, your vision grew fuzzy and you fell into darkness.

When you woke up later, you were on familiar couch and saw people surrounding the couch, crying.

"Why are you guys crying?" You asked with a tilt of your head. You couldn't see exactly who was standing around you, and started to worry.

"Are Fred and Percy okay? They were with me when I blacked out." You said anxiously. You heard two "Here's!" from somewhere in the room and felt relief flood your body.

"Is George okay? Is Harry okay? Who's okay? Why's everybody crying?" You said again, you were starting to get worried, everyone was looking at you, tears running down their faces. You could recognize Mrs. Weasley, Mr. Weasley, Ginny, Charlie, Bill, and you knew that Percy and Fred were in the room, but you hadn't heard George speak yet.

"George is fine dear." Mrs. Weasley said as she rushed over and embraced you. You hugged her back tightly, relieved that the Weasley family was still intact.

"Where is he? Can I go see him?" You asked anxiously. Mrs. Weasley released you, nodded, and instructed Fred to help you up the stairs. He did, and led you to his and George's room. You knocked on the door and heard a weak "Come in" before you entered. You shut the door behind you before walking over to George's bed, where he lay with his head in his pillow and his blankets wrapped tightly around him.

"George?" You asked gently. "What are you doing?" George perked his head up at your voice and looked at you, his eyes red and puffy.

"What's wrong Georgie?" You asked as you sat next to him on his bed. His eyes wandered warily over your body, as if trying to make sure you were real.

"I was afraid that you were going to die, and I'd never get to tell you that, I love you." George said slowly, his eyes watching you for a reaction. Your heart swelled with joy, but you wanted to tease him.

"So you thought I was dying, and you come up here instead of staying down there with me? I feel loved Georgie. I feel real loved." You said, feigning hurt.

"__y/n__, I'm sorry! It's just-" You cut George off by pinning him to the bed and kissing him fiercely. He hurriedly kissed back and you let out a slight moan as George's tongue flicked across your lips.

Fred entered the room at that moment and saw you on top of George, before smirking evilly.

"You finally manned up huh? Way to go Georgie!" Fred said before he exited the room again.

"And that George," You said as sat up. "Is how you show someone that you love them."

"Mind if we practice that a few times?" George asked as he flipped you over so that he was on top.

"I'd love nothing more."
