Before I could realise it, I had crashed into another person, I landed on the floor, my wrist twisting uncomfortably, and I gasped quietly in pain. I ignored it and looked up to see who the person was.

Dumbledore stood in front of me, looking terribly shocked, but luckily he was still standing.

"Oh sir, I am terribly sorry!" I tried to sound like I was ok, but he knew that I was far from it.

"Come on Arabella, we have things to discuss." He said calmly, and I stood up, ignoring the swelling on my wrist, and followed him silently.

I heard running and turned to see the three Marauders looking terrified, before I could speak, Dumbledore did, "Hello boys, I see you were looking for Arabella, I will let you discuss whatever it is you need to later, I must talk with her first." He said and the boys looked between him and me in worry. I probably looked like a hot mess, I hated the idea of looking so vulnerable, but I couldn't change that.

I avoided eye contact with Sirius, knowing I had failed him, I was ashamed and guilt was eating me alive, I wished nothing more than for him to never have known about my eating disorder, I wish he still thought of me as his strong little best friend.

The boys walked away disheartened, and once again Dumbledore and I walked silently to his office.

Once there, he politely told me to sit down, and I did as I was told, trying my best to hide my anxiety.

"I am sorry," were his opening words, and I looked at him in complete surprise, before I could ask why, he continued, "I promised that you would be safe here at Hogwarts, and it seems like I have let you down," I watched him carefully, not knowing how to respond. "I have noticed, that you don't eat very much." He said and I looked at him in horror, how did he know that? He smiled weakly, before continuing to talk, "I advice that you to talk to Madame Pomfrey, she may be able to help you." And I looked at him once again in surprise.

"Sir, why am I here?" I asked and he studied me carefully, taking a few minutes to conjure up the words for his next sentence.

"You are a brave and courageous young girl, you have faced many challenges, yet you stand strong, and you have proved to me that you can be a good friend and listener. I do not wish to see you destroy yourself because of what others have believed. You are a true Gryffindor, and I believe that with a little help, you can be a great Gryffindor too." Was all he said, watching me wisely.

I felt my heart flutter at the kindness of his words, I didn't know what to say, I was in shock.

"Go, find your friends, they care for you, more than you can imagine." He said with a smile, and I nodded in response, before swiftly leaving the grand office.
