The next morning, Remus woke me up, by jumping on my bed, singing happy birthday to me, I sat up giggling whilst watching my boyfriend make a fool out of himself. I grabbed his leg, causing him to fall on top of me, he groaned but I just laughed more.
"Good morning sunshine." He kissed my cheek and I blushed, before hugging him. "Get ready! Today is going to be busy!" He declared and rushed out, I laughed before getting dressed excited, today was going to be the best birthday of my life.
I grabbed my wand happily, I could finally do magic out of school, with that thought in my mind, I used magic to do my hair and makeup, before getting dressed and sprinting down the stairs, to see Lyall and Hope who had made breakfast. When I entered they began singing, I smiled happily. Hope hugged me, before giving me waffles covered in chocolate spread with strawberries, it looks delicious and my stomach growled, causing them to chuckle.
Remus ran in holding presents and a card, he skidded to a stop, placing the gifts in front of me with a chuffed look on his adorable face. "For me?" I gasped and he nodded with a smile. I gasped, jumping up and hugging him, "I love you!" I said and he said it back, before telling me to eat.
I can tell you now, it was the best breakfast of my life, I ate my waffles, as Lyall told us stories of his seventeenth birthday. It was hilarious to listen too, as he got into a lot of trouble and had a huge party.
When I finished my waffles, Remus grew excited, and handed me my gifts and card. I smiled happily, opening the card first, smiling as a picture of all me and my friends fell out, it was all of us laughing about who knows what, but I couldn't stop smiling, I looked so happy.
"It's wonderful." I said with a smile, and Remus insisted that I opened the presents, I giggled at his eagerness, before carefully unwrapping my gifts. In the first box was a wonderful dress in my size, I looked over at Remus shocked.
"For tonight." He shrugged before handing me the other box.
I thanked him before unwrapping my other present, when I opened it I gasped in shock, there was a wonderful necklace, it was a stunning dragon.
For the rest of the day, Remus treated me like a princess, doing whatever I wanted, making sure I had everything, and I couldn't help but feel amazing.
Around four I apperated us to the Potters – I did better than either of us thought we would. Sirius and James rushed to me when we arrived, giving me hugs and gifts of chocolates and flowers. They were so sweet.
They told me to go start getting ready, so I used Sirius' room, I slipped on my new dress, it fit perfectly, my dragon necklace had been on all day and I adored it. Instead of using magic for my hair and makeup, I decided to do it by hand instead. It took a lot longer, but I wanted it to look perfect.
When I was finished it was six and the party would be starting at seven. So eagerly, I rushed downstairs, to see it looked different. Hanging on the walls were banners saying 'Happy Birthday Bella' and there was balloons everywhere. The dining table had been pushed to the side and was covered in various different alcoholic drinks and all my favourite snacks.
Not seeing any of my friends I walked over to the food and nibbled on a chocolate frog. I heard a chuckle from behind me and turned to see James, "Their Remus' favourite as well." He comments and I giggle. "Have you had a good day?" He asks and I nod furiously.
"It's been the best birthday I've ever had!" I say happily and he smiles at my enthusiasm. "Well, hopefully it ends well too." He says looking around at his house, thinking about the upcoming party. Sirius ran in, looking nice in a white t-shirt, jeans and his favourite leather jacket, his hair styled just the way he likes it and smelling of smoke and aftershave.
"Of course it will mate, your parties are always the best!" He says eating some chocolate as well.
"Thanks." James says, but I notice he looks unsure.
"Is Lily coming?" I smirk and he immediately starts blushing.
"It's the first party she's come too." Sirius states and I realise why he is so nervous.
"Aww James!" I coo over him and he rolls his eyes playfully, "I'm excited for you." I giggle and he runs his hand through his hair like he always does.
"I was going to ask her to be my girlfriend tonight, but I don't know how." He says shyly and Sirius says he should just do it.
"Take her out back, you know where your mums roses are, then sit her on the bench and just talk for a little while, when you feel the moment is right, just ask." I say smiling and he thinks for a minute, before nodding at the idea.
"Brilliant, ok I will." He decides, rushing off to do who knows what.
"Bless him," Sirius teases and I can't help but laugh. "How are you little one?" Sirius asks, sitting on the windowsill, I smile at my best friend.
"Even though I've had a terrible week, today has made me happier than ever." I say truthfully and he smiles at that.
"Come here," He says, and I walk over and sit opposite him on the window. "You deserve better than all the shit you get Bells. Believe me, you don't deserve that shit." He says and I smile at his caring brother-like tone. "Now, get drunk tonight, I know you want too, and forget about all your worries." He says and I laugh gleefully. "Deal?" He smirks.
