Chapter 15: Her Past

[Zoe's POV]

All along the journey, I keep in silent.

Right now, I'm with Minseok. I didn't even say a word to him. Luckily he didn't say anything as well.

My heart beat fast what did happen just now.

What did just Chen trying to do?

For a moment I wanted to break down. What have I done with this miserable life? Why do I deserve to have this life? I'm not the only one that's blind. People said you'll get more love when you're imperfect.

I feel a touch on my hand.

"Are you going to tell me?" Minseok said. I just sighed and close my eyes. "Chen, is he being like that since the beginning?"

"Yes."

Then he keep silent.

"I don't even know why I love him, oppa." I confessed.

"You can't blame it Seohye."

"I wish I could fall in love with you."

I heard him chuckled and pat my head.

"I'm always there for you. This time I won't let you go."

I don't know why but I feel safe when Minseok told me like that.

"You need to protect someone else first my dear oppa."

"You mean Somin?"

I giggle and nodded. "She will be mad if she heard what you are saying now."

"She'll understand. You know her. I've been know her for 8 years."

"Oh come on. She's your wife already."

"Ex- nevermind. Our relationship is quite complicated."

Talking with Xiumin really reminds me of the old days. When we were still kids.

After Minseok bought me to restaurant. I came back late. Minseok escort me in which he's insist.

"Chanyeol, you're here." I heard Minseok calling.

"Geez, buddy. You make me worry about Seohye. I thought someone has been kidnapped her."

"The little baozi kidnapped her." Minseok said.

We both chuckled.

"But this little baozi really take care of me ." I said and trying to reach his head. I feel he lend towards me.

"Aww, you already take my sister's heart." Chanyeol said as I feel his presence beside me.

Minseok lightly squeeze my hand.

"How I wish to have her heart."

I lightly punch his chest. Chanyeol came and hugged me.

"Come on in. It's been a while."

Both of us came in and sat down. I wonder where's Chen? I decided not to ask about him. He might be going to club.

"Oh Chen, you're here." Chanyeol said. He sounds surprised.

"Yeah, I was about to go out but I guess I have no reason to go out since my wife is here."

My heart beating fast. Why does he sounds so serious? I felt Minseok's hand. "I guess I have to go now. My duty here is done."

"Thanks for today oppa."

"I'll see you around." He hugged me and I stood up. "Be careful."

"I'll lead you way out." Chanyeol said.

"Take care Seohye." Minseok said and ruffled my hair.

Then it's silent. I was about to walk when I felt a warm hand on my wrist. "Let's have a talk." Chen said in soft voice. I nodded and he lead me to somewhere. "Where are we going?"

"To the indoor garden. We can talk there."

I let him leading me to there. He even help me to sit down. "What are we going to talk?"

"About us. You're trying to avoid me." he said. I remembered what he did this morning.

"I didn't. We act like we usually do." I said to him. "Zoe, please. I'm really sorry for being a jerk to you."

Did Chen say sorry?

I feel his hand on mine. I feel my tears falling down. Why are you doing this to me Chen? You make me fall in love with you more. He wiped it off from my cheek. It's time to let him know what's he doesn't.

"I'll tell you a story."

FLASHBACK

I was 8 years old back there. Where my father was alive. I'm very close to him. Dahye unnie and I are very close to each other. Chanyeol oppa as well. Three of us looks like we never be apart. We stick like a glue. My father loves me the most.

I wasn't born to blind. My father died when he tried to save me. I was playing around at night when suddenly a flash of light came to me. I thought that I would be dead. But then someone pushing me and both of us injured badly. That time I lost my sight and also I lost my father.

Dahye blamed to me. If I wasn't clumsy, our father would be alive until now. Chanyeol never took the blamed on me. He always be there with me. I'm glad that Chanyeol oppa never have the guts to hate me. Dahye wasn't being like that. She's very humble and never been to negative vibes.

But since that day, she changed.

Mother also changed, she barely visit us. She's always went for a overseas business. Chanyeol is the one who's been taking care of us. The guilt is still eating my soul.

FLASHBACK END

"It's gone until I met you Chen. You made me happy but I know that you will never love me because I'm blind." I confessed to him. He just keep in silent all the way. He didn't even speak a word.

"I'm sorry if this makes you feel uncomfortable."

"You're precious Zoe." He finally said something. "I have my own reason too why I'm being a jerk. Well, I do blame on you but it's not because of you."

"I know you've been through a lot Chen. I'm sorry." I tried to reach his face.

"I wish I could see you." I felt his smiling and kissed my hand. "Hey, can we start at the beginning? It may takes a bit time but I'll try to be good with you."

I chuckled and nodded. "It's fine. But don't go to the club."

"That I can handle it."

I'm happy because he started to open up with me.

I never thought that I would falling in love with him.
