Mamoona

I tear open the letter I just got. It read:

Dear Ms. Mamoona Qureshi,

We just received your copies of your work designs and we are astonished. You have gone beyond our expectation and style in clothing; we would like to offer you a job position as our fashion designer at the Aura Kristen Collectives.

It would be an honour to meet up with you and tell you about further information about this position. Please contact us as soon as you can. We will be very happy to have you part of the Aura Kristen Collectives family. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Aura Kristen.

Yes, I nearly screamed with joy, in case you were wondering. I never thought my designs would get to them, to be honest. I sent it to them partly because it was impulsive and also I wanted to know how much I could achieve in fashion designing.

Now, what? Do I tell my parents and risk them being mad? Or do I turn down this good opportunity to do what I have to do?

Maybe I should tell Sabrina. She doesn't have much good advice, but it's better than talking to no one. I picked up my phone and called her.

"Moona!" She said on the other side.

"Hey, bad time?"

"Uh, nope. I'm just working on the wedding invitations. Luckily the groom's side of the family will be working on the rest of the wedding,"

I didn't know how to start off to tell her. "So you know the drawings of clothing and patterns in my sketchbook?"

"Uh-huh, what about it?"

"I sent it to the Aura Kristen Collectives clothing line,"

"You did what?!" The other side screamed.

"Yeah, I did and they replied back. They wanted to invest in my designs. They want me to be their designed," I said while I scanned my letter again

"But you are preparing for a great career ahead of you,"

"I never wanted fashion and designing to be just a hobby. I never wanted to be a doctor," I told her.

"Now what? Are you gonna tell your parents? What are they going to say? Your father is never going to allow it," she reminded me.

"I don't know. I might not tell them yet,"

The rest of the night we spoke about Sabrina's wedding. We spoke until midnight hits and we went off with our night.
