I Cant Believe It!

Chapter Six

--------------------------------------------------------------

As soon as he entered my house, his jaw dropped. "Wow. This is a really nice house." My parents are lawyers, so they're rich. Even I was sometimes surprised at how big my house was. And I've been living in it for seven years. Imagine that.

"Thanks." I answered politely.

"You're welcome." He looked at the living room and pointed. "Should we...maybe...go in there? Or do you have like a homework room or something?" He smirked. He looked around my house one more time and then looked at me. "I'll be surprised if you don't."

Of course, I didn't have a homework room. Yeah, sometimes I liked doing work, but I don't like it that much. I mean, who does? "No I don't have a homework room, silly. We'll just go in my bedroom and do it."

"Huh, I could just imagine how that looks." He looked surprised. Why? I don't know. We went up the stairs and into my room. "And this is exactly how I imagined it."

"Oh my God. Don't tell me your a..." I paused dramatically. "A psychic." I said that last thing in a whisper, trying to make a serious face. But I couldn't take it anymore. I burst out laughing with Anthony following.

After we got ourselves under control, I took my math book out of my book bag and opened it to our homework page. "Here, look over this. I'm gonna go take a quick shower, if you don't mind. I feel sticky with all the hairspray and perfume I put on."

He glanced at my hair quickly and then looked directly in my eyes. "No, I don't mind." I got the feeling I always get -that should become a hobby for me because I seemed to be getting it a lot (sense the sarcasm)- and my palms were starting to sweat. Thank God I wasn't standing up because my legs were very weak. I would of fell and embarrassed myself, like I always do.

"O-Ok." It was bad enough that 'o-ok' was the smart answer I came up with, but I had to put fire on fire and stutter. Ugh, why do these things happen to me? I'm a good girl.

I tried to put the stutter situation in the back of my head and go take a shower. I got pink sweatpants and a green t-shirt that said 'I'm Sexy And I Know It' and placed them on the counter in my bathroom. I took of all me clothes and went in the shower. Ahh... The warm water feels so good...

After I came out of the shower I put on my clothes, dried my hair, put on a little mascara and lip gloss, and went back in the room of where Anthony was laying on my bed, playing a game on his phone. I thought I told him to look over the page? "Anthony, didn't I tell you to look over the page?"

He still had his eyes glues to his phone and didn't even bother to look at me. "Yeah I did, but when I was done I had nothing to do so I decided to play 'Temple Run'."

No wonder why he didn't look at me. He was playing 'Temple Run'. With that game, if you don't keep your eyes glued to the screen like Anthony's was, you die. Believe me I've had plenty of experience. I used to have that app but I deleted it because I was getting frustrated every time I lost. "Yes! I beat my high score!"

I layed down on my bed next to Anthony and looked at him play. After five minutes he had finally lost. His score was 4,627,529. I couldn't even get up to 100,000. "Are you done now?"

"Yes, Ms. Spades. You may teach your lesson now."

I giggled and took his phone away. "You can get this back later. Now, lets get started on the homework."

---------------------*--------------------

"Bye. Thanks for the help." Anthony was standing in the doorway. We had finished our homework and it was already 9:30 p.m.
