After I dropped Niylah off at her place I decided that I didn't want to do shit today but chill.
I headed home, walked in and greeted my mom and went to chill in my room. I turned my flat screen on and began watching cartoons, I don't care how old I get. I'm always gonna throw on some cartoons to watch.
By the time I watched all the reruns of Spongebob I got a text from Quay telling me to get on the game so he can "Whoop my ass in 2k."
I sighed and headed downstairs to get on the game, I was currently beating him and Max when I got a phone call.
' hella' I mumbled as Quay cursed in my ear when he missed a shot I laughed but my smile soon dropped once I heard the tone of Niy's voice.
"Hey, can you come get me?" She questioned with a shaky voice. I pulled my phone from my ear and checked the time seeing it was 12:30 in the morning. I placed the phone to my ear and frowned once I heard her crying.
"Yea, be ready in 5 I'm on my way"
"okay. thank you"
I hang up the phone and let Quay and Max know I had something important to handle. I quickly grabbed my keys and put on my Gucci slides and left the house.
___"Damn, all that happened tonight " I listened to her vent about her day and gently rubbed her back. she layed on my chest while we gazed up into the night sky.
When I came and got Niy I took her to a place I always went to when my mom and dad would fight, it was a secluded area that I found one day, almost like a park.
We lied in the middle of the grass as she explained everything to me about her mother, father and her new 'sister'
I rubbed small circles on her lower back and looked at her while she spoke.
"I was shocked as fuck to find out I had another sibling, but I'm honestly over that part already. it was just seeing my mom like that, it fucked me up. She was just so weak and vulnerable."
"she was ready to burst in tears at any moment, she's been my rock for as long as I could remember and seeing her that way, it kinda broke my heart." she looked down and played with her fingers.
"let me tell you a story" I grabbed her hand in mine, if she could open up and trust me I could do the same.
"My parents always use to argue while I was growing up, it started around the time I was 13. it would be over little things like who left the light on in what room or who left a dish in the sink without washing it, basically petty shit" I chuckled reminiscing.
Niy smiled warily at me as I continued to talk. "I didn't think much of it until around my 15th birthday. the arguments began to escalate to my mother wanting to know why my father was out so late at night, or why he smelled like cheap perfume and had lipstick stains on his shirt collar"
