As soon as I walked through those school doors holding Jrey's hand on Monday, it was like everyone automatically started whispering. lately me and Jrey have been the main topic.
Hoes started to hate me, niggas started wanting me. It was too much damn attention and everyone who knows Niy, knows I hate too much attention.
I mean, I expected to get noticed more when I got with Jrey. It's Jreymond Sanders, one of the most popular guys at Malcom High, But this was some new shit and I wasn't prepared for it.
It's now Wednesday and conversation still hasn't died down, I don't know how the boys handled all this attention on a regular basis.
It literally was rumors coming from everywhere saying the craziest shit.
For one, I don't even know how they knew half of the stuff they did to make up these pointless rumors. Jrey just told me to ignore it but how, When it's the only thing happening in school right now, I wouldn't be surprised if the teachers were talking about us as well.
We currently were sitting at the lunch table speaking on random topics when Max pointed behind me. "Niy there ya' best friend"
I looked over to see Tianna walking to the table. She came and took a seat by me, and weird tension instantly filled the air.
Max coughed, "Ima um go grab some dessert you coming lay?" Layla caught on and nodded following max the the dessert table.
"Shit, I could use some ice cream I think I'll follow them, right Lucas and quay?" Jrey added standing up to give us some space.
Lucas nodded and followed but quay slapped away Jrey's hand when He tried to pull him up.
"I wanna hear this shit man" Quay leaned forward in his seat. "boy if you don't bring ya' ass" Jrey yanked quay up by his dreads and pulled him across the lunch room.
I shook my head at them and turned towards her. "so wassup with you Ti? We're suppose to be best friends, why didn't you tell me you had a baby on the way when we last spoke?" I asked.
"I'm sorry Niy, that wasn't my intentions. I ain't even know I was pregnant at the party. Then I felt like you would judge me or scold me like my mother and I just wasn't ready to disappoint someone who I know cares about me and my future, which I ruined" she frowned.
"Girl that's it? I would never judge you your decision was irresponsible and I'm not sugar coating shit, but I'll be here with you through it. Also, just because you're with child doesn't mean you can't still have a successful future. it will be hard but I'll help you get through high school and college, you'll be just fine" I reassured her.
She sighed in relief pulling me into a bone crushing hug crying on my shoulder, " I missed you Niy. I love you, still best friends forever right?" She said reaching out her hand to me.
I reached out mine and we did our signature handshake." I love you too bitch, we best friends forever. You know know way too much about me for me to drop you"
We stood from the table and walked off to get Ti some food, and it honestly it felt really good to have my best friend back with me.

We all sat in the back of our last class which was free period just talking, I was getting Tianna up to date on everything she missed while she was gone.
"let me see if I heard correctly, you two are sisters ?" she asked looking between me and Layla.
"Yep " Layla smiled
