Sweet goodbyes and sour hellos

I walked down the unfamiliar halls one last time in attempt to wish my friends goodbye before I leave for school. After I cried all night I realized this is what I asked for I wanted a new start. I wanted to get out and explore the world. So  if you're wondering yes I'm excited to leave this place after all.
School went by slow like always until lunch. Things just turned worse when I got to our lunch table I saw Nathan flirting with some girl. As I walked closer I noticed they were holding hands. Tears started to fall from my eyes as I felt the rejection and the betrayal all at once.
"Sophia we need to talk" Nathan said as I reached the table.
"Yea sure. Um I also have news for everyone also" I replied taking a seat.
"Well as you can tell I found my mate. Marissa this is Sophia my girl-best friend" Nathan stuttered over his words. Wow did I mean so little to him?
"Nice to meet you" Marissa kindly replied
"Same here, well seems like Nate replaced me already" I bitterly replied
"What do you mean?" Kathryn asked
"Well I'd like to stay and chat more but really I just came to say goodbye. My dad is sending me to Australia for some private school." I replied looking at Alana and Kathryn
"Soph are you serious? Don't lie!" Nate said raising his voice a little.
"Why would she lie Nathan. Sophie never lies you know that. It's like it was embedded in her DNA or something." Alana snapped at her brother
"I better get going guys my flight leaves in a hour" I sadly gave my goodbyes. After I left the school grounds I went to say goodbye to my pack and my dad and I headed to the airport where I'd leave my old life behind and start a new one.

The flight was long and boring I slept through most of the flight but it was ok I suppose. I grabbed my phone and bags eager to leave the airport and meet up with the school.

As I got closer to the group of students I realized most of them were future Alpha's or girls trying to be Luna's. I decided to stay away from them for now.
"Welcome to Australia mates! I am your driver Dan. Please follow me" Some guy in a thick accent yelled. I put my headphones back on and decided to follow. I found a seat on  the bus. and decide to try to go back to sleep.
"Mind if I sit here?" I heard a smooth voice ask. I looked up to see a very attractive guy smiling.
"Sure." I barley whispered still staring at this perfect stranger.
"The name is Patrick, but you doll face can call me The Sexy Pat."
"Cute, and cocky. I'm Sophia but call me Sophie." I replied to my surprise. We talked the whole ride to the school. I learned he would be beta to his pack the Blue moon pack. His older brother Jack is the Alpha. He came to learn how to make his wolf strong. At the end I realized we would be really good friends. He even walked me all the way to my dorm.
   I shared a room with a girl named Hailey and another named Sara. One was tiny with blonde hair who was Hailey and the other was tall with short black hair who went by Sara. They both came from the same pack which was the rainfall pack. We stood up to learn about our lifestyles. I let them know about my rejection and about Nathan as I told them my story I cried realizing Kol was the main reason why I was so broken. We used to be the best of friends he was my first kiss, we even ran away together once. It all ended though... when she came to town. We hit a wall. I remember I cried to him asking if I done something wrong he just simply said I found my mate I don't need you.
     Remembering all those memories shaken me up from my dream. Its been 5 years since I left my pack, 5 years since my rejection and 5 years since my life changed.    
"Happy birthday Sophie!" Everyone yelled making me fall from my bed. Patrick jumped on me tackling me in hugs and Taylor laughed. Sara and Hailey just watching with amused faces.
Pat and I started dating a year after we met. Taylor is Sara's boyfriend, she lost her mate which made her go crazy but Taylor was there to help her through everything. Hailey refuses to talk to her mate until he visits. They were my family, I sat there enjoying the moment when freezing cold water splashed all over me. This ass hole!
"Patrick!" I screamed as I jumped up to chase him around the apartment.
"I just had to, my zombie girlfriend got jealous and made me do it!" I ran and tackled him to the ground.   

"Zombies aren't real"
"Yea huh"
"So not"
"Want to bet?"
"But babe they are so real!" My dork boyfriend and I argued.

"You both are lame" Alana laughed walk out of my room with everyone else. Today was goi to be a good day.
