The Life of Sophia Arabella

All Alone

Today was the best birthday ever. We were walking back from the campus joking around like always we didn't even realize the sudden screams and growls.

"Did you guys hear that? It sounds like everyone...fighting?" Taylor slowly explained

I sniffed the air I only smelt that once before....back home before I left. Rogues.

"We need to go back and help" Pat stated running and transforming into his big brown wolf. I ran fast in my human form I was faster this way. I made it before everyone which I regretted. Our once beautiful green quad was now blood stained and dead body filled, most of them students. I quickly fought the remaining rogues running after me. Quickly ripping heart after heart out, until I was done. To think more into it that was too easy. I looked for my friends and couldn't find them anywhere. I quickly looked around running to no destination in mind. I just ran to where my legs were dragging me to. When I got to the gym I saw everyone all the remaining students, teachers and my friends all with silver chains wrapped around them. Weakening them by the second.

"About time you got here Francesca" The leader looking guy announced

"I...I am not this girl you're looking for my name is Sophia" I replied looking around for something to help me.

"Yes Sophia sorry but you're former name was this Francesca. I will kill everyone in this room if you don't give me what I want." He ordered

"What would that be?" I softly replied getting ready for the worst.

"My master won't quit til he has you're wolf. Its either you or them; pick quickly"

I looked around I couldn't be selfish because these people needed me. I chose the most rational thing ever to save these people.

"You're not getting either one. I'll fight you and win. " I sternly replied not breaking eye contact with this scary stranger.

"Ah you're so wrong dear. You're wolf is powerful he wants it. What ever he wants he gets." He growled charging at me, I quickly dodged his attack punching him in the process. He quickly jumped back to his feet to trip me making me fall to the ground, we were rolling around trying to fight each other for dominance. He bit my leg and I dug my nails into his face. The fight continued on for what seemed like forever. We were both running out of breath but neither one of us wanted to give up. I saw my opportunity to knock him out he bent down for a quick second and I took that as my moment I ran behind him snapping his neck and dropping his dead body to the floor. I looked around and everyone of those nasty rogues were gone some ran away in mid-fight and others were on the floor lifeless. 

"Sophie.." I heard a mumbled voice call out to me. I ran to the group that were all handcuffed to the silver chains and tried my best to break them but failed miserably due to the pain I encountered every time I touched those wretched things. 

"Baby its okay I will save you all of you guys" I announced.

"Hurry up we are dying" Some guy coughed out 

"I'll be back I swear" I ran out of the gym towards the garden shed. It was up to me to save every one. As I got closer to the opening I noticed a few dead people which made me come to a complete halt. The headmaster was headless, and our second highest rank was also dead with his heart ripped straight out of his chest. This whole school was massacred on the one day that was supposed to be my day. I shook my head running into the shed grabbing gloves, and hedge cutters and ran back to the gym. I cut everyone free, some were healing faster then others and people were helping with the clean up duty.

"This is not your fault Ms.Sophia. Things like this happen all the time. Rogue attacks are unpredictable, we are just lucky you were there to set us free before it was too late." Mrs. Smee said trying to give me some type of comfort.

"I know its just I didn't think it would have happened to us. We are secluded from the world I thought only certain people knew about us. I mean we had our whole school grounds cloaked." I  replied in a daze.

"There was so much that cloak can do Ms. Sophia. We just need to learn how to grow past our loss. I am too old to be the Alpha in this school. You saved us I think its only right our savior should become our new Alpha. I know you are going to protest but please let me explain everything first."

"But I am just a girl"

"You may be a girl but you are different Ms. Sophia, I been watching you progress over the years from every one you are the strongest. You are extremely strong in your human and wolf form. You are the best fighter and you can track better then any wolf I ever met. I was your grandma's friend and she was just like you. Its in your blood my dear she was a great Alpha female one of a kind."

"My grandma wasn't anything that high ranked, she was just my grandma are you sure we are talking about the same person?" I asked

"Yes I am sure. She was the best fighter in her time no one was ever able to go up against her without her winning. You're grandma was one of the original hybrids." She replied

"A what?"  I asked confused I never knew exactly what a hybrid was one of the smartest students in the school how did I never hear about hybrids?

"A hybrid its a mixture with two different species. Normally its a vampire who changes wolfs but you're grandmother was born that way. She had the strength and speed of a vampire, the wolf and she had the ability of a charmed one.You are young but you have most of her powers. This is the reason why you saved us today. We are going to have a meeting today with the school to announce your position. We need you to survive dear" and with that she walked away. 

"But what does that mean?" I yelled but she continued to walk away.

"What was all that about?" I heard Pat asked as he wrapped his arms around my waist and kissing my cheek.

"I have no clue but I guess I'm the new Alpha since the headmaster died"
