Hazel was worn out, she scrubbed the last bit of the pool. As she bobbed her head to Matthew West.

"Hey!" Sawyer said, disrupting her peaceful work.

She glanced towards him, "Hey." she responded with less enthusiasm.

"So...Chloe is he..." He stopped short when he noticed Susie coming their way.

"Can we go somewhere else?" He asked.

"Sure, I just have to finish up here." She answered,

Sawyer nodded, "Maybe at the boat in half an hour." He said.

Hazel nodded her head and smiled then turned back to her duty.

Sawyer felt nervous as he neared the house boat.

He saw Clay in the front reading a book.

Clay noticed Sawyer and smiled, "She's in the back." He said as he turned back to his book.

Sawyer nodded, and entered the house boat and walked towards the back porch.

The house was messy as he walked thru it, books, maps, and old compasses were everywhere!

Many would say it to be a dump, but whenever he was there he had this mysterious feeling. The rusty look and the sea went together perfectly.

When he reached the back he saw Hazel leaning back her eyes were closed and her hands were folded, on her lap there was a giant book. She looked peaceful, anyone could have mistaken her to be dead, but Sawyer could tell.

"Hello?" He said shyly, and knocked on the wood of the house.

Hazel jumped up, "I'm so sorry!" She said, "I lost track of the time." She said as she folded her book and placed it on the table next to her.

Sawyer sat on the chair at the other end.

"Chloe arrived..." He said, then stopped and remained silent.

Hazel understood there was something wrong, whenever he talked of her, he seemed depressed.

"Sorry, I know this is slightly rude but who is she exactly?" She said,

"What are you doing! You are going to make him even more depressed." She scolded herself.

Sawyer was thankful she had said that, he needed something to say.

"Well Chloe, was born in New York, actually. But her aunt and uncle raised her up, because her parents didn't want her. She had a brother, who she was close too, but he died not long ago, and her family just sent her immediately to sea semester hoping it would lift her spirits. But it didn't too much."

Hazel looked down, she felt sympathy for her.

"So, when do I get to meet her?" She asked cheerfully,

"Oh, tonight, maybe. I don't exactly know." He said,

Hazel smiled, hoping it would cheer him up.

"I'm sure she is nice." She said, before turning her gaze to the other boats.

Sawyer just nodded, looked down.

"You look like you need to visit the crowsnest!" Hazel said, laughing.

Sawyer smirked, and looked up sighing.

"Hazel," He said,

"Ya?" She replied, taking her gaze off of the boats and directing them to Sawyer.
