Tris
Ah college, Tris thought to herself. Today was the first day of her freshman year of college. She decided to go to Chicago university with her best friend Christina.
They lived in the suburbs outside of Chicago but they hardly ever went into the city. But now since they're going to college there, Chicago will be their home.
Tris watches the raindrops hit the window in the car while their parents drive into Chicago. Her brother Caleb is the same age as Tris, so they're both going to college. Tris knows that her parents are upset that their children are growing up but it's a part of life.
Once they reach the college, her parents park the car. Tris gets outside of the car and scans the university around her.
Tris's mother opens the trunk of the car and pulls out Tris's boxes of stuff. "Beatrice, can you get your two suitcases of clothes?" She asks. Tris nods and grabs the two suitcases.
Andrew, Tris's father grabs her brothers boxes of stuff. Once they get inside, Natalie Tris's mother helps Tris unpack her stuff in her dorm. "Do you know what time Christina is getting here?" Her mother asks.

Tris puts some of her clothes into her dresser. "Like in two hours, she texted me an hour ago." Says Tris. Tris requested to be in the same dorm as Christina and of course they did.
"Dad just left to pick up your car so he will be back soon." Says Natalie. Since they needed a bigger car to bring everything to the campus. "Okay" says Tris. She sees her mother tearing up.
"Mom what's wrong?" She asks. Her mother goes to wipe the tears streaming down her face. "It's just... You and Caleb are growing up."
"Well mom you knew this was going to happen eventually." Her mom nods. "I know, it's just seeing my babies grow up makes me upset."
"Mom I'll always still be your little girl and I'll visit on holidays." Her mother smiles and kisses her daughters forehead. "I love you honey."
Tris wraps her arms around her and gives her a bracing hug. "I love you too mom."
