"Today's the big day!" I spun around, smiling. "Yes it is, and soon my baby will be off to college! Oh, for you to be 2 again..." My mom teared up, fanning at her eyes. "Oh! There I go again!" She laughed, crying, and I smiled, hugging her.
"Don't cry mom, I'll always visit." I told her, and she sighed sadly. "More than I did hopefully..." I shook my head, and looked at her. "Of course."
"You never did tell me which school you chose." Will said, walking into the kitchen next to me and my mom. "Oh, well I guess you guys will find out when my name is announced to walk." I winked, and Will rolled his eyes, laughing.

I moved forward in the line of grads, and stopped. I'd be up soon. I was very nervous. Very nervous.
This was it. Goodbye high school, goodbye memories and my parking spot. Goodbye lunch table! Oh my gosh... The line moved forward, I was one of the last students, my last name being West. I looked into the crowd and saw some familiar faces, I saw my mom and Will. She smiled at me, and I returned the smile back, she was really proud of me.
My feet met the stairs to the stage. Two more steps and I was no longer teenager, but a woman. Woah, that got deep...
Names were called, diplomas passed out, and then came me.
I took a deep breath, put on my best smile, and stepped onto the stage.
I walked to my principal, and she smiled at me. We shook hands, she passed me my diploma, and I smiled to the crowd. "Syrena West, our prom queen! Her chosen university, was Juilliard, the school of arts."
A roar of applause started, and I curtseyed, just before I walked off the stage. This was my new life, and I was planning on living it right.

"Congrats Syrena!" My mom was crying, and she came and hugged me to death. "I am so proud of you!"
"Thanks mom, I can't wait to go to school, but- what about my home? Zack, Ava, and Ash aren't leaving." I told her, frowning.
"Honey, Ava and Zack will be proud of you even if you have to leave, but I don't know Ash all that well. You'll have to talk to him." She said to me, and I nodded. Then I felt a tap on the shoulder, and when I turned around, I saw Libby.
"Libby!" I hugged her, and she laughed. "It's so good to see you! I loved the dress, thank you so much."
"Of course, my pleasure, and I missed you, besides I had to come and see my nephew graduate. Wherever he is." She replied, and Mason walked up next to her, giving her a side hug. "Hi Mason, congratulations my little college boy." She turned and he hugged her completely, and she kissed his cheek.
"Thanks Lib, oh, Syrena, Juilliard? That's in New York!" He told me, and I nodded. "It's so far away, I'm going to miss everyone so much, and how am I going to find a place?"
"Well, Libby?" Mason looked at her, and she grinned. "Well Syrena, I'm moving to New York with Mason in this beautiful house on the outskirts of the city, and it's going to be for like, two or three years, but I wanted to work on a new collection that's all about a modern-day city girl. You're always welcome to stay with us. I'm not sure how far away Juilliard is from the house, but it would be magnificent if you stayed with us." I smiled, and hugged her. "Oh Libby, that would be amazing! I'll have to think about it of course, but I think it should work out fantastic! How do you have a house there?" I asked, and she shrugged. "I have houses everywhere, my friends like to borrow them occasionally."
"Oh, and Mason- New York?" I asked again, and he looked at me. "I got an internship at the Natural History Museum, thought it'd be fun. But, it'll be great, we can stay in touch!" He told me, and I hugged him. "Well then it's a deal. I'll have to discuss with my mom, though..." Libby nodded, and Ash came up to me.
