Bird's P.O.V.
I was sitting in a chair in the infirmary, waiting for the nurse to finish up with Dante. Ember was in the chair beside me chatting with Jacob. Suddenly the door opened and Dante stepped out with his right arm in a cast. "Whoops." Jacob said sarcastically. The atmosphere could be cut with a knife. I know they're all anxious to hear the results of the exam. "Well," I said rising to my feet, "as you may or may not know, this battle was to determine your position between 11-13 in the corp." I looked at Ember, "You have placed 13th in the corporation, as you were the first to fall unconscious." She had a disappointed look on her face. "Dante, you have placed 12th, seeing as Kiri was killed on a mission a few days ago." A small smile appeared on his face. "Jacob, since you managed to knock out both of them AND had the least injuries you rank 11th." Jacob smirked. "It seems I am the strongest." "Now that has been decided you may rest for a few days. Dante, Ember, come with me to the lab, I'll have your injuries healed quickly so you can begin your missions." I said quickly departing for the lab with Dante and Ember following. "What about me?" Jacob asked. "Simple, go find Angela." He scowled and walked off. I laughed. It's so much fun teasing people like that. After about ten minutes we arrived at the lab and asked Jay, the science nerd out of all the assassins, if he could do something to speed up the healing of Dante and Embers injuries. "I can help you with that," he said taking a syringe and filling it up with green liquid. "Hold out your arm please." He said. Dante held out his arm and Jay injected the liquid into his forearm, he took another syringe and filled it up with the liquid and injected Ember with it in the same place. "You should be fine for awhile, just don't do any hard physical activity and you should be healed in a week." Jay said. I thanked Jay and left the lab. "What now Bird?" Ember asked. "Go and rest for a week, come back when you're healed." They smiled and left.
Time skip~One Week
Dante's P.O.V.
We were all assembled in a large office. Seated at a desk in front of us was Bird, who handed me a book and said: "This is were all the requests for assassinations or spy missions are held, assassinations pay far more money but it increases your reputation as an assassin and as a criminal, which means you will be hunted more severely, spy mission are easier and pay less, but I would say they are more fun." He smiled. "However all rookies are required to start off with a spy mission, so pick one, and enjoy." Ember and Jacob looked over my shoulder to see what jobs were available. "Here's one we can do, obtain data on the plan of a secret weapon from the Military, reward 30K." Jacob said. "Good, we'll be leaving in the morning." I said smirking. This is gonna be AWESOME.
