final,
three-hundred and sixty-five days after- ;

jungkook's world was white.

jungkook's world was silent, it smelt of pure fresh roses, it tasted like dew on a wet summer morning, but his world was white. it was the definition of heaven, abode of angels and the good after death, but jungkook knew that this in fact, was not heaven.

it was bright, way too bright, and it felt as though his eyes had been shone against a vivid light for hours. the maknae could feel his body, he could feel the motion of his fingers twitching and his toes fidgeting, he could feel people running their hands through his hair and over his body.

"jungkook, what have you done to yourself," he could hear a male voice call out into the abyss, jungkook didn't know where the voice cam from, all he saw was still the same white, "you really are an idiot."

taehyung regretted not worrying more for his best friend, he regretted not stopping him from inflicting pain on himself and he regretted not comforting the boy in the best shape or form. it broke taehyung's heart into a million pieces when he stepped into jungkook's bathroom to see his almost lifeless body heavy at the bottom of the bathtub.

jungkook grew angry, he wanted to know what happened to him, he needed to know if his suicide had worked. the boy was sick and he was tired of his actions completely failing, and he only prayed that whatever he did worked, and that his soul would finally be free.

"taehyung your visiting time is up" another voice called into the chasm, this time coming from a female. taehyung, jungkook thought, taehyung was here?

"oh sorry, thank you" the taehyung replied, and jungkook desperately wanted to see him, to thank him for everything he has done and to say that he was okay, even if he wasn't. the sound of heavy footsteps invaded the deathly boy's sense of hearing but was soon replaced with the sound of an angel.

"taehyung has a good heart, i can see why you guys were so close" the female said, her voice sounding like honey or a gush of fresh wind. jungkook didn't know who was speaking, but he wished he did, her voice was magical.

"i can't believe i am talking to a boy who is asleep" she giggled, and if jungkook thought her voice was magical, her giggle made his body completely melt. his white surroundings grew even brighter if that was even possible, and the boy found himself shielding his sensitive eyes to block out the illumination.

"i know you may not know this jungkook, but you are a lot stronger than you think," the female voice continued, and the maknae opened his mouth to speak, but his words were inaudible, "i am pretty sure you have stardust running in those veins of yours."

jungkook couldn't handle it anymore, the light was overpowering him, conquering him. he didn't know if this was the pathway to heaven, or if it was the pathway to utter darkness, to death, but no matter how hard the boy tried his world continued to increase shining brighter and brighter by the second.

until his eyes just, opened.

the female jumped back in shock when the boy opened his tired eyes, her palm covering her agape mouth as her infamous mask hung below her chin. jungkook blinked, it purely was an angel.

"i-" jungkook started, but was soon to erupt in a fit of coughs, startling the girl as she placed a delicate hand on his forehead, running her fingertips through his soft locks.

"shh, you'll be okay" she continued, biting her lip innocently as jungkook calmed down, letting his head turn to the side as his gaze ran over her curvaceous figure. it had been a while since jungkook had seen haneul, he missed her, even though they hadn't communicated very much.

"i knew that i was dying haneul," he started, voice husky and rough, unlike his usual melodic vocalisation, "something inside me said, go ahead, die, sleep, become as them, accept."

"jungkook you don't have to force yourself to speak" haneul whispered, realising she was still running her fingertips through his hair, catching herself she pulled away as a deep rosy blush formed on the apples of her pale cheeks. jungkook ignored the girl with the large eyes, continuing to speak even though his chest started to feel heavy against his heart.

"then something else in me said, no, save the tiniest bit of spark. it didn't need to be much, just a spark. but a spark can set a whole forest on fire." jungkook licked his lips, using all of his strength to reach his arm up, as he placed his palm delicately over hers, "and haneul, i think you're that spark."

"jungkook-" haneul trailed off, amazed by his words and how much he meant them. the blush never left her cheeks as the boy sent her a lazy smile, but that lazy smile meant the world to her as she felt her heart grow warm with every second that passed.

"sometimes before it gets better the darkness gets bigger," the girl grinned, mirroring jungkook's lazy smile as she watched his eyes glisten with the reflection of sunlight peeping through the gapes in the curtains, "i told you i will always be there for you jungkook, when you needed it most, and i kept to my promise."

it had taken awhile, it had brought him through love and pain, but finally, jungkook found his definition of heaven.
