We watched the view of the statue from the harbor.
I slanted the camera to capture different angles of the beautiful statue, the water gleaming from the rays of the sun. It was like being on a tropical island far away, just as being in a movie. I wondered about Francis suddenly. We didn't talk- neither eye contact was made- as we all left that night at the carnival. He seemed very fine, even happy before we got on the roller coaster, then afterwards he was pissed. Or maybe he was sick from the ride. Who knows?

My stomach growled loudly so I called the girls and we stopped at the nearby café to get supper. We perched ourselves on the brown couches that lied atop of a ramp, which was a really cute fixture, considering the café was sort of small.

As we ordered, Ave parked beside me and asked, "Is it okay if I leave you two?"

"Why exactly?"

Her cheeks turned a rosy glow, "Oliver, the guy the other time. Well he asked me on a date."

I squealed and hugged her tightly. "Avery this is huge! I'm so happy for you!"

Now I have to admit; my friends are very lucky in terms of relationships. As for me, I am always left as a third wheel, or I get ditched easily. It sucks but I'm used to it.

Taking out my portfolio and notepad, Megan plops herself beside me and takes a look at the black clear book. She smiles.

"Have you decided a title yet for this so called 'project'?" She asks, flipping through the pages.

"No, not yet, but soon,"

The waitress placed the porcelain plates on the table and we ate quietly.

We were on our way back to the hotel when Megan halted the driver. She got out of the car and said, "Something came up, I'll be back later."

As usual, the pretty girls have plans.

Avery beckoned at me as I scanned the restaurant. Patricia's Palace gleamed with light and everyone dressed so prim that I felt awkward wearing a simple summer dress and a jean jacket. I loomed toward Ave's table where she sat together with Oliver and another boy. It was visibly Francis dressed in one of his remarkable costumes. I strode to the table and seized the seat beside the teen star. We glimpsed at one another waiting for somebody to kick off the conversation.

Before we started, I spotted someone familiar on one of the tables. Oh shoot! It was Sebastian. If he realizes that Sabrina's not with us, he's going to start interrogating. I signal Ave to look behind her and she does so. She jerked the boys and quickly ran outside, with me trailing behind her.

"That was close." I exclaim nervously. "If Sebastian realizes we're not with Sabrina, he'll tell her and we may lose her trust."

"Right," Ave said, she seemed to regret inviting me into this.

Oliver rushed us into a Ferrari and maneuvered around the metropolitan. Francis explained why he needed our help. Ave and I were dumbfounded. We knew there was something between Sabrina and Francis that was special.

"So could you please find out if she likes me? I've heard her say she hated me for being a star. Can I count on you ladies?"

We squealed and approved.

I awakened to the noise of my best friends bickering in the living room. I shut my eyes and tried to eavesdrop to what topic caused them to argue loudly. I wonder what they were so uptight about. On a daily basis it's typical that Megan and I have misunderstandings, yet when it comes down to Meg and Ave, it's indeed a serious matter.

"Straight forward is better than planning Meg! It's faster too." Avery suggested.

"No way, what happens if she says no? Then Francis would be broken. We need a little time to figure this whole mess." Meg declined.

I felt my heart sink. Francis is probably asking them for help to ask out a girl. Of course, it would be Olivia Jenks. She's the description of perfect; compared to the rest of the girls that aren't popular. That stunk. I started asking myself stupid questions. Then slowly I realized that I was jealous. What the hell. No way would I be jealous unless I like him.

"What!"
The girls turned their heads toward me as I stared blankly ahead, trying to figure out what I was feeling.

"You're awake!" Avery stated, worried.

"Obviously," I snapped "How could I sleep when the two are you arguing about the girl Francis is about to ask out."

They looked at one another. "Well yes. He wants to ask a girl and actually he wanted to ask your opinion."

I shrugged, toying with my fingertips.

Meg grinned at me suspiciously. One fact about her, she can tell when a person isn't alright.

"Jealous much," She commented.

"I am not!" I say crossing my arms. Although I guess I kind of do. But why? Why would I, Sabrina Daniels absolutely be jealous of a star that girls go after in the first place? In my opinion it's one hundred percent weird. And I hate the guy! I mean he's so full of himself. But he has mesmerizing blue eyes, a beautiful smile...

"Sure." They laughed, snapping me out of my spell and we all decided to let the topic slide and head to town for Mexican food.
