~~~~Marshal Lee's POV~~~~
I woke up at 10 AM. I actually woke up at 9 AM but I didn't wanted to go out of bed so I just rolled around. I sat up and looked around my room.
''Looks really messy... Should I clean it?'' I said to myself. I suddenly remembered that I was going to have a roommate and he's going to be here today.
''Ah... shit...'' I swore. I picked up left over pizza boxes and random paper bags and threw them in the trash can. It obviously didn't fit in. I took a big plastic trash bag and put unnecessary papers and trash in the big bag. It took a while to clean it but it looked a little cleaner but some of my music sheets were all around the room. I took all of them, not paying attention to the order of them, and put them on my table. I took the full trash bag and went outside to throw it in one of the trash bins. I went back inside my room.
''Looks a lot nicer.'' I said. I have never been much of a cleaning person. I cleaned my room only when someone was coming over.
I took my guitar and sat in my bed. I started playing a song called ''Carry On My Wayward Son'' by Kansas. I liked this song and yet it made me a little tear up because of the TV show called Supernatural. This song was sometimes used on the first or the last episode of the season.
''Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more''
I always liked playing bass guitar. I made this one myself. It looked like a red axe and it has a white skull on top. I've had it for almost five
years.
''Once I rose above the noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion
I was soaring ever higher, but I flew too high.
Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man
Though my mind could think I still was a mad man
I hear the voices when I'm dreaming,
I can hear them say
Carry on my wayward son,
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more.''
I kept playing without the words until I heard a beep from the door. It must be my new roommate. I was still playing. He walked in and
stopped. I could feel him or her staring at me. I finally looked up to see a skinny guy in jeans and an orange shirt with three letters ''CHB''.
They were written in an interesting font. I realized I was staring at him and had stopped playing.
''Hi! My name is Marshal Lee Abadeer.'' I finally said, blushing a little.
''Aba... deer?'' He giggled. I flinched when he said that. Some people made fun of it and I got really angry but this time I wasn't that angry.
''Yeah! Like a deer!'' I laughed with him.
''My name's Bubba Gumball, by the way!'' He said and we shook hands. 'I guess he is a nice good-looking guy... wait... good-looking? Why am I thinking about this?' I had an argument with myself a little.
''So you also like the Percy Jackson book series, right?'' I asked.
''Yeah, I have always liked them and other Rick Riordan's books.'' Answered Bubba.
''I guess you should unpack your things. Can I help?'' I offered. I could feel my face being hotter than before.
''Sure!'' He answered and gave me one of his luggage. I opened it and saw a bunch that mainly it consisted of books.
''Damn! You have hella books!'' I said surprised.
''Yeah. Those are the books that I haven't read yet and there are also educational books.'' He answered.
I put the books on the floor in piles. Each pile consisted of different kind of books. There were a lot of piles on the floor all around us.
'That's seriously a lot of books' I thought to myself. He put his clothes into his wardrobe.
''Okay. Now I have to put the luggage somewhere.'' He said as he walked towards me. The luggage where the books were was right beside me. Unfortunately, Bubba didn't see that there was a pile of books in front of him and he tripped.
''Gah!'' He screamed and fell. I caught him but we both fell on the floor, him on top.
I could feel my heartbeat going faster. I started to sweat and blush. I could feel his heartbeat, his breath, his skin. I wanted to have it, all of it. I quickly brushed off those thoughts and helped Bubba get up.
''You ok?'' I asked, still blushing a little.
''Yeah, sorry.'' He apologized, ''How did I not see the pile... Maybe I shouldn't have taken so many books.''
''Well, at least no one got hurt.'' I said and we started putting the books in his bookshelf. Once he was done unpacking, he fell on his bed. He looked tired, from the possibly long drive and the unpacking that took at least an hour. I sat on my bed, deep in my own thoughts. I was looking at Bubba. His chest was calmly moving up and down. His breathing was so peaceful as if nothing can interrupt it. His skin looked as soft as silk. I wanted to touch it. His lips looked sweeter than the sweetest thing in the world. I wanted to taste them. I wanted him all. Suddenly a noise interrupted the peace. It was Bubba's stomach, begging for food. He opened his eyes in anger and embarrassment. He was blushing.
''There is a cafe near the dorms. Basically it's in our university's territory. We could go and get something to eat and I could show you around. Although, I moved here yesterday, I explored the territory a little bit.'' I said.
''Sure.'' He answered and we went to the cafe.
