Sweet, yet bitter

Chapter 5

As we entered the cafe, I noticed some odd things about it. The style of the cafe was mixed. A lot vintage, modern, futuristic etc. I have never seen anything like it before. I noticed there were some book shelves with books in them. The first book that I noticed was Harry Potter because that was my favourite book as a child and I still love it. We sat near the shelf where the Harry Potter books are. Schwable put her bag down and said:

''What do you want to eat and drink?''

I didn't know any of these strange foods because of their names. I only knew some foods and drinks that I have heard before. I noticed there was a drink called ''Butterbeer'' and it wasn't alchoholic which is good because I'm still underage.

''Butterbeer looks fine but I barely know any of these weird foods. Just buy me whatever you feel like but nothing sweet,'' I answered. She walked to the cashier and ordered the foods and drinks.

I looked down on the table and saw the Hogwart's map that the Marauders created. It had those tiny feet, just like in the movie. Other tables had different things. One table had a futuristic lights around the edges. Some had Greek symbols. This is an interesting cafe. It's amazing how people can think of such a cafe. All the styles together.

''We'll have to wait for the food to be done,'' said Schwable when she came back. ''I noticed you were looking around the cafe. See something interesting?''

''It is an odd cafe but I like it. This brings back memories,'' I said as I pointed at the table.

''Yeah. It sure does,'' said Schwable looking at the table. She looked like she was swimming in her memories, how happy she was about the books when she read them.

After a while we finally got our food. It looks like Schwable ordered Caesar salad for both of us, I had butterbeer with yellow whipped cream. I laughed about it because it looked really similar from the movie. Schwable had a Green Smoothie with green whipped cream. She also bought sugar wands. Well, that's what it looks like. Wands with crystallized sugar. I had the pink one and Schwable the green one. It's already obvious which are our favourite colors.

''So, which university are you planning to go?'' Asked Schwable.

''University of Aaa,'' I had decided that a long time ago. My parents went to that university and they also met there. My mom was obsessed with food, especially sweets and my dad liked science a lot. Although they didn't have classes together, they still met somehow.

''Oh! That one? I wanted to go there too but my parents didn't approve. Said it's too expensive.'' Said Schwable. ''By the way, when are the entrance exams?''

''After a month.'' I said eating my salad.

''A month??? That soon?'' Schwable was surprised.

''Yes. I've seen the previous exam papers and they're not that hard. I think I can do it.'' I said.

''But you still need to work hard and learn while you can, so you can be ready for the exams.'' Said Schwable cheerfully.

~~~~1 hour before the exam~~~~

I was sitting in front of the exam room. It said I was supposed to be here at least an hour before the exams start. I started to get nervous because of the upcoming exam. The university was big. Almost the same size as my family's mansion. This university was in a different city. a four hour drive from my home. I was a little tired from the long drive but me and Schwable talked about a lot of things. She went to buy me some water because I forgot to take a bottle of water with me. I was glad that water was allowed during the exam. The exam was at least two or three hours long.

''You nervous?'' Schwable said when she put the cold bottle on my forehead.

''Yeah. A little. But it'll be fine.'' I said as I took the bottle and drank a little.

''You can do it!'' Cheered Schwable.

''Thanks Schwable,'' I smiled.

~~~~Exam time~~~~

The room was filled with people. Some of them were chatting and some were quietly thinking by themselves.

''Quiet, please! We will start the exam now!'' said the professor. He handed out the exam papers. I paid attention when I will get the papers. He handed them out one by one.

''Please take off your headphones.'' Said the professor to a guy whose hair was in the color of a raven and his skin was a little pale-ish blue.

The guy took off his headphones and gave them to the professor.

''You'll have these back after the exam is over.'' Said the professor.

Once I got the paper, I started looking through the tasks and started writing.

~~~~A few weeks after the exam~~~~

I woke up and did my daily routine. Wash myself and then have breakfast. I walked to the dining area and sat down by the table. My parents were on a three-day trip for work, that's why there was no one in the room. I started to eat my breakfast when my maid gave me a letter.

''You have a letter from the university of Aaa, Bubba.'' Said Pepper. Yes, her name is Pepper. She is really nice but sometimes she's overreacting about silly things.

''From where?!'' I said and started to open the letter.

''I'm... I'm in! I did it! Pepper! Call Schwable and say she has to come here! Now!'' I said immediately as Pepper ran off.

''You did it? Bubba! I'm so happy for you!'' Cheered Fionna as she hugged me tightly. FP came into the room.

''Fionna, calm down. But seriously? You got into THAT university? Isn't it hard to get in?'' Asked FP while playing with his lighter.

''Yes, it is but I did it! It also says I will live in the dorms with a roommate. Doesn't say who it is.'' I said

''So you're going to live there?'' Asked Fionna.

''Yes but don't worry. I'll visit during the winter and the summer break.'' I answered.

''Bubba!!'' Schwable shouted as she ran towards me and hugged me. ''Congrats! I knew you could do it! By the way, I have news too! I'm going to be Fionna's and FP's personal teacher!''

''Really? Fionna, why didn't you tell me?'' I asked Fionna. We were all really hyped because of me getting in.

''I wanted to surprise you and there is one more thing...'' she started blushing and took FP's hand.

''We're together...'' Said FP also blushing.

I took a step towards FP and said ''Take a good care of her.''

''Yes. I will'' Answered FP. Fionna blushed even more.

''I guess I should start packing my bags for the university.'' I said.

''Yeah. You should do that.'' Said Schwable.
