"Mom! Dad! Juvia is home!"
The blunette slid her shoes off and walked into the kitchen, stepping over a pile of dirty clothes that was in the middle of the entrance hallway, probably dumped by Juvia's workaholic parents. Juvia hoped that they were home for tonight.
Unfortunately, luck was not in her favor. (Or rather, the odds?)
Since the fridge was right on the left, the moment you walked in, Juvia couldn't miss the dreaded blue stick note, hanging on the door of the fridge. She turned, opened the fridge, grabbed a bottle of water, closed it, grabbed the note, and walked over to the kitchen table, nearly tripping on a pair of slippers. Juvia seriously needs to clean up.
She sat down at the table and twisted the cap of the water bottle off, after putting the note down on the table. She drank some of the water then looked at the note.
Dad's on another business trip. Won't be back until next Wednesday. I'll be home this Friday.
-Mom
Juvia sighed. Typical.
You see, Juvia's parents were rarely ever home, so she was never surprised when her parents leave a note saying they weren't going to be back until whenever. Her parents were much too absorbed in their work, so at most, Juvia saw her parents only once every two weeks.
Juvia put down the water bottle, ripped up the note, got up, and threw it away. She couldn't stand looking at it. That's when Juvia saw what time it was.
"Juvia is going to be late!"
She ran upstairs, grabbed her pre-packed bag, and then ran downstairs. Juvia grabbed her car keys, and water bottle. She was about to run out the door, when she passed by the calendar that was in the entry hall. She stopped for a minute, because she saw something that caught her eye.
The date of today was circled....or rather, there was a heart drawn around it. It read "Anniversary". Juvia's eyes started to water. She couldn't bare to remember the boyfriend that she had. He had given her up to some random girl that lived in Canada.
