Chapter Twenty-Seven:: Tattoos? No - Key Tattos? Hell Yes

guys, PLEASE READ AT THE BOTTOM, OR YOU'LL MISS SOETHING VERY IMPORTANT

It was as if Lucy was in a bubble. A very thin bubble maybe. But a bubble nonetheless. She felt safe. Warm. But there was something very wrong with these two feelings.

How can feeling safe and warm be wrong?

The answer hit her quickly. Those feelings were very much fake and fading fast.

Then she felt something. A pop. The bubble was gone.

But why did it feel like she still needed to get out?

Sounds started to creep in, muted at first. But they kept growing louder and louder until Lucy was able to barely make out sounds of fighting. Voice too. Familiar voices.

        "Lucy, wake . . . she won't . . . Lu . . . hit her head . . . not breathing . . . wake up!"

There was a pressure on her lips . . . Then a breath of fresh air comes inflates her lungs.

        Not . . . breathing?

Lucy gasps and inhales as much air as she could get. In, out, in, out.

        I wasn't. . . BREATHING.

As her eyes unblur, she manages to make out several different faces. And one that was full with the most worry of all - Natsu. Their Natsu.

He looked down with her, eyes wide with worry. "Luce, you okay?"

Lucy sprung up and wrapped her arms around Natsu's neck as the emotions from her near choice to let them all burn and die crosses her mind, adrenaline making up the most of her new found energy. The guilt and fear mixes in the pit of her stomach, making her regret even thinking about that choice even more.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Lucy chants, whispering so only Natsu could hear her.

Since the blonde was too busy trying to get over her emotions, she failed to see the red blush that had scurried up the boy's face.

"Luce," he muttered back in her hair, determined to just push right through his tangled feelings for the blonde. "It's fine, it's fine. Okay? Whatever you did wrong, I'm sure you didn't mean it or do it on purpose."

Natsu pushed her back gently, hands on both shoulders to get a better look at the blonde. Her face was mainly full of terror and sadness, something he didn't like on her face. He had been loosing her some many times . . . Her stomach, where she had been shot, seemed to be closing up. But it was red. His eyes trailed to her eyes and they stared at each other - onyx in chocolate brown. The world around them seemed to be slightly dampened and they were leaning forward . . . slowly . . . inch by inch . . .

"Oi! We don't have time for lovebirds!" Gray shouted as he jumped back towards them. "Figure out how to beat this asshole and then start your make out session!"

The two jumped back at the sound of his voice, a tad bit shocked and dazed, but quickly shook out of it.

        "Shut up Gray!"

A moment later, Lucy let go of Natsu, rather unwillingly, but slowly got herself to her feet. Turning around, she faced the two other people who she had seen, but not quite registered.
