you're the only thing that's going on in my mind

"i honestly never expected josh and tim... i mean he is definitely not josh's type," i complained to patrick while playing with the hem of my shirt.

patrick rolled his eyes and huffed,"ty, maybe it's not meant to be between you two, y'know?"

"but patri-" i started.

patrick interrupted me. "i'm not finished. sometimes there's someone that would be perfect for you, and they're right in front of you and you don't realize it. sometimes there's someone who could treat you like a king and cherish you and you don't even have to look, because they're already in your life."

"you're right pat! josh doesn't realize that i'm the one for him yet! he's too distracted by tim," i cheered.

patrick groaned, "whatever. so earlier a friend invited me to the skating rink. would you want to come with me?"

i hummed and looked around. "i suppose so, as long as i don't get left out."

"i would never leave you out ty," patrick mumbled

and i smiled at that.

----

"hello, my name is pete. i assume you're tyler." pete stuck his hand out and i took it in mine, shaking it softly.

"yes, i'm tyler," i replied, smiling at him.

"well it's nice to finally meet you! patrick has told me a little too much about you."

how the hell do i reply to that? "uhm thanks?" i mumble.

pete smiles widely at me and then turns to patrick. "i invited another friend by the way, hope that's fine with you guys."

"oh yeah that's fine," patrick assured.
i nodded my head softly and made my way to the front desk.

"hello there how can i help yah?" the cashier asked.

"uhmm, i'll have one pair of 6/12's please," i say not looking up

the cashier replied with, "alright, it's 20¢ an hour. name please?" his eyes looked hungry as they looked over my body and it made me uncomfortable.

"tyler joseph," i tell him while pulling down my shorts and adjusting my fishnets.

"alright, thanks tyler. have a good time," he said while handing me the skates. i simply nodded my head and walked towards the boys.

patrick and pete went to the counter to get their skates and i waited for them so i wouldn't be alone on the rink.

when they returned, patrick mentioned something about how good the burgers were and i instantly got hungry. i ordered a chocolate milkshake and a burger with curly fries. patrick got the same as me except with a strawberry shake and pete didn't want anything to eat due to the fact that he had eaten beforehand.

after we got our food, patrick and i located the small booth where pete sat. he looked like he was searching for someone. i assumed it was us. the thoughts left my head as soon as they entered, simply because i didn't really care.

while carefully setting down the tray full of food, i slid in the booth next to patrick. there wasn't much room but i didn't mind too much. i mean, he was after all my best friend.

i should have known that i would spill something on my beautiful, white, lacey shirt, which was new might i add. but i honestly hoped it wouldn't be something as bad as ketchup. stupid ketchup packets are useless. i promised myself i would never use one again after this incident.

of course we didn't have napkins at the table so i was forced to get up and retrieve some. i was too busy looking at the ketchup to pay attention to where i was going and that's why i ran into someone. his chest, which i could tell was a he because he was very muscular and i couldn't feel boobs, was very toned and i gasped a little. honestly i expected to fall but the still unknown person caught me.

i regained my balance and opened my mouth to shower him with thank you's. until i heard pete shout,"josh!"

i closed my mouth instantly and gulped. my gaze averted from josh to patrick. he looked a little annoyed and....angry? josh coughed slightly and pushed past me on his way to pete.

i'll admit it, i felt the hot, burning sensation in my throat but i wasn't going to let him get the best of me. i shook my head quickly and grabbed some napkins, wiping off as much of the ketchup as possible.

"pat, look," i whined to him while pointing at the red stain on my shirt.

patrick immediately took off his leather jacket and offered it to me which i graciously accepted from him, kissing him lightly on the cheek. as soon as i did so, i couldn't help but look over to the other two. neither one paid any mind to me, too deep in a conversation of their own. i was disappointed but i knew i could find a way to get josh's attention.

i was snapped out of my thoughts by a blushing patrick "i-it's absolutely no problem wh-whatsoever," he mumbled, hiding his face. i giggled and flashed him my biggest smile, while trying not to stare at josh.

stupid josh and his stupid beautiful face. fuck i hate him so much but i can't get over him.
